Today I received this email from the club regarding my complaint of pre ordering "to get it first" which is how they sell it.
Dear Simon,
Thank you for your email.
I can confirm your order was despatched out with Royal Mail on 21/06/2011. This is a non traceable service that should normally take 3-5 working days for delivery with this delivery method; If after this period the order remains un-delivered it is a requirement with the Royal Mail that you allow further 10 working days (Monday – Saturday) before contacting us.
If you do not receive your order on 08/07/2011 please contact us by telephone or email and we will conduct further investigations. To assist us with the investigation please include your full shipping address. We may ask you to complete and return a denial of receipt form. Once we receive the completed form we will be able to offer you a full refund or a re-send of the products ordered. All re-send requests are subject to stock availability.
If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind Regards
Gareth
Customer Services
So..to summarise...It was despatched on 21st on the understanding you can wear it the day before it is released ie 23rd:
Here`s the tricky bit.
They use a service provided by royal mail that takes 3 - 5 working days to deliver so the earliest it can be received is 24th the day after it gets in the shop, where, you can get your seasoncard discount if you wait.
LOOK HOW LONG THEY WANT ME TO WAIT BEFORE MY KIDS GET THEIR KITS IF IT DOESN`T TURN UP...AND IT COULD BE SOLD OUT BY THEN. LETTER TO COOKIE MONSTER I THINK. NEVER HEARD OF NEXT DAY.
My answer:
Morning Gareth. I find it strange that you advertise the pre order as "get it first" and use a courier that takes 3 to 5 working days. If despatched on 21st the earliest it will arrive is 24th. Its in store 23rd. I don't think that is looking after customers do you? I will not be ordering again and with 3 children who support City its a shame.
Kind Regards
Simon Riley (CeMAP)
