Plus Craig Gordon as a token gesture as he needs to get some football in, he is struggling to be No1 for club and country!

I'd have ramsey over any other donkey which played in that midfield for england in the U-21's.

Only a squad of 18, though, which is rather odd for a tournament.

I would rather lose as Scotland than win as Great Britain. I have no interest in Olympic football. The olympics should be the pinnacle of sport and not a second rate under 23's tournament.

If any Scottish player who would be at the moment purely picked as a token represented team GB he would risk an entire national team.

One person who must be rubbing his hands with glee at the thought of a Team GB is Alex Salmond. With opinion polls reporting 37% being in favor of independance and only needed to get over 50% to actually get it past through the removal of the Scottish national team in favour of a Team GB will have people rushing to the ballot boxes.

The BOA should be careful for what it wishes for. It could have serious ramification. They have shown no interest in football team before but putting one together for this event means they could possibly risk losing any Scottish athlete in the future.

I'd prefer the BOC to be split so that the contradictory sight of "British" Athletes celebrating a good result with the Welsh/Scottish flag draped round them becomes a thing of the past and then the English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish U23 teams could take part in the footy

Football shouldnt be at the olympics anyway - load of bollox the lot of it!

It would be great if players took football in the Olympics seriously. The Olympics should be the pinnacle of sporting achievement and in theory it would be great if an Olympic Gold topped anything.

I thought they all had too many matches as it is. Why play more? Between all the international tournaments the best players would only be getting one summer off every four years.
