First day back for me but still plenty of players not on view. Notables missing were Kolo,Zaba and Tevez (obviously) Ade,Bellers,Bridge,RSC (also obviously) Given(back tomorrow) Silva (probably just because he played on later than the rest last season),Dzeko,Nigel(no idea).

Notable for me was that some trees have been cut down on my side of the fencing.Looks like it might have been because they overhung the pitches a little.I think all the pitches have been relaid and one or two are way off being ready but they did play behind fencing and there was me without steps.Schoolboy error.

I did manage to see plenty though although at one point I did bottle it and shelter as a monsoon hit the ground.First the wind blew away the dug out in between the pitches and then one of the goals, which was on wheels, was just blown across the pitch. They weren't using at at the time but it did look funny.Welcome to summer in England!

20 players (excluding the 4 keepers were on show. 2 of them just worked separately on running. They were Mario and Guidetti.Mario didn't last very long but JG stayed working with a physio as all the others did fairly regular training stuff. The remaining 18 were:
Yaya,Boyata.Boateng,SWP,AJ,Milner,Barry,Reece W,Ryan McG,Vinnie,Kolarov,Clichy,Lescott,Razzak,Vlad,Micah,Suarez (I think)A Mancini.

Only a very early pre season session but I though Boateng was good,SWP lively and combative as ever,Clichy really good,Vinnie in control and Micah was Micah. He raced onto one ball as Stu Taylor came out to get there a fraction ahead and Micah went flying over the top ,did a double somersault, landed heavily and got up with a laugh as usual. The only goals I saw were from SWP and Razzak.

I was expecting Assulin but he might have been inside with Savic. Overall a normal type of session and quite competitive. I cant say I saw anyone who looked unfit but I am sure they will have done plenty of tests to assess all that.

Where do we stand in August when we are trying to shift 7/8 players who won't be fit enough to play for their new sides for 6 weeks.

What gives Tevez the right not to be there?

What I think and what do I want might be 2 different things! Gut feel he will go to Spain and help sweeten the Aguerro deal.

I'm not surprised but still thought there might have been a chance after months off, that M Johnson might have shown his face! I think we can give up on him now
