So after seeing that interview on ssn morning it's pretty much a cert that Mancini is going all out for Aguero to replace Carlos and Nasri. He is usually not so open about potential signings i reckon talks must be going well.

These two for me would be ideal really hope the club can push the deals through, but i do feel it's going to be very tough bargaining with Arsenal to get Nasri.

By the way he's brilliant in an inteview situation, calm and very cool never seems uneasy when questioned.

Haven't seen the interview but read the reports with him saying that. As you say he very rarely if ever says anything definitive about transfers so it does give a sense of something being on the sorted side. These two would imo also be pretty much perfect additions to the squad and offer more glue in the inter play and something a little different to what we already have. I hope Bob gets his way and they get signed.

So new Mancio City looks like to become the best squad in the land and in the world, definitively!

I agree.

Not been near a PC for days & I was just hoping that I'd find some kind of solid connection between City & Aguero when I got online. To say I'm happy about this would be an understatement. Usually, when Bob starts blabbing about players in detail like this, it means we're making a solid effort to sign them. I've just read Aguero's said he wants to play in England too, so this looks like a goer.

Get in!

Aguero for Tevez might well turn out to be fine. It's a risk because you never know how a new player will turn out and also because he'll be expected to replace a player who scores a lot of goals. Aguero though is a top class player and should do fine. In any case we can't go on with the Tevez soap opera any more. I presume Nasri would replace Barry in the top games which would surely be a great improvement.

I still think we'd lack two players if we get Aguero and Nasri.

First, a really good wide player to replace SWP who clearly isn't good enough for where we want to go. Relying entirely on AJ as a game changer is not a good idea for a team with our ambitions. I guess Alexis Sanchez is too much to hope for ( looks like Barcelona will eventually get him) but I'd love to see him at the club.

Second, we also need a decent reserve goal keeper to replace Shay and then we're done.

Then we really need to hustle to get out those surplus to requirements. Bellamy, SWP, Adebayor, Onuoha ( can't see him getting past Zaba and Micah) RSC, Caicedo, Given, Bridge, MJ ( probably never going to fulfill his potential unfortunately) and Boyata ( who might yet come back from a loan spell to make it here) . I guess we'll have to accept loan deals for some of them unfortunately.

Absolutely.

I didn't even quite understand what Mancini was mumbling about Aguero. That he is a good player? That he'd like to see him at the Club? He is and who wouldn't.

Wtf was the most easily offended football personality in the world, Mr Whinger, moaning about? What did Bob actually say about Nasri? He is under contract with Arsenal, an official offer has not been made (No, I don't know), it's difficult. Answering a direct question if he hopes that Nasri will join, he says -I hope... we can buy some more players........ get them in before the end of the month. I thought he was very smooth about Nasri, and not disrespectful at all, about Aguero on the other hand, "could play for Manchester City"....

Exactly martinez he doesn't actually say he wants nasri by the end of the month. He says we need a new player and hope to have him by the end of the month

Voyeur hits back at Mancini.I knew this was in the pipeline. He's not having the best of times at the moment is Mr Wenger he seems to be very much on the defensive like its him versus the world. The pressure is certainly taking it's toll on him i reckon.

Taken from sky sports

Arsene Wenger has fired a stinging rebuke towards Roberto Mancini after the Manchester City boss confirmed his interest in Samir Nasri.

Mancini told Sky Sports News earlier on Saturday that he was eager to sign the talented France international 'by the end of the month'.

Nasri has been tipped to depart Emirates Stadium this summer with Manchester United also understood to be interested.

The former Marseille midfielder is entering the final year of his contract with the Gunners and discussions over a new deal in North London have failed to bear fruit.

Wenger has previously stated he would rather run the risk of Nasri leaving for nothing at the end of his current deal than see him depart this summer.

Not allowed
But Mancini's public proclamation of intent to land the Arsenal man led to the French tactician responding in no uncertain terms.

He told Sky Sports News: "These comments are not allowed, it is against the basic rules of football and Roberto Mancini should be informed.

"I don't spend my time on what other people say. We are focused on playing our football.

"What we want is respect. We will not comment on any players at other clubs. It is time football in England came back to these basic rules."

And when asked if he felt disrespected by Mancini, Wenger responded: "I cannot say otherwise, this comment is absolutely out of order."

It is of course completely respectful to stick your nose into another club's sponsorship deal and suggest that it is some way corrupt and should be investigated by Platini?

Is it the crap recording in Sky Sports or just me and the great language barrier but honestly I didn't get single word from that Wenger press conference.

EDIT. Also, again, how is Mancini saying that we are going to sign Nasri? What he says is that Nasri is contracted to Arsenal and it's hard to say anything about him and that we are trying to sign some players before the end of the month. Where did he say "we are going to sign Nasri before the month is out". Cheeky fucking journo as well, he was forcing that story out of Mancini knowing full well that Mancini isn't exactly Lord Byron with his English.
