4 Strikers????

Not too long ago Bobby was saying we need 4 top quality strikers, it looks like Tevez is on his way to be hopefully replaced with Aguero but there has been no mention of a fourth since we pulled out of the Sanchez deal which was when we thought Tevez was staying. Gudetti is on the tour surely he isn't good enough to be that fourth striker?

Any suggestions, I would have to go for
Romelu Lukaku @ £15 - £18 mil and also make a bid for winger / play maker Juan Mata @ £20 mil
or Guiseppe Rossi @ £30 mil

If you weren't so quick to jump on n try n pick holes in virtually every post i make then you may actually read them properly as stated in the original post i would go for

LUKAKU - STRIKER..... Leaving money to bid for JUAN MATA who is a....... WINGER / PLAYMAKER!!!!!!!!!!!

Read the words its not difficult knob!!!!

Does it not say 4 [sic] strikers? And how was I ridiculing you? I just pointed out he isn't a striker. Which he isn't.

1. Dzeko 2. Mario 3. Aguero 4. Lukaku that equals four
plus judging by the money we were bidding for Sanchez would leave money to bid for Mata who is a playmaker / winger or is that to complex to understand

God give me strength !!!!!!!!

It seems I was not only one who was struggling to understand the concept of OP but let's leave it at that.

We play 4-3-3. IF, and that's a big IF, Aguero comes he would most likely start on the right or on the left of that front three playing in a free role. Silva would probably start on the other side with Johnson and SWP as cover and Balotelli played loads there as well last season.

I assume that you are talking about that one centerforward position here? Dzeko would most likely start with Balotelli as back up (or other way around depending on which Mancini prefers). Guidetti can play across front three so I assume he has been promised some sort of back up role. I'm not actually entirely sure we need fourth player on that position but if someone like Eto'o is still on our radar then probably him. If Benzema is available then he'd be ace option. But I think that Mancini feels that if we can't find someone genuinely quality, he'll just go to season with what he has got. It seems Mancini is more interested about having variations for that front three rather than some set in stone starting line up. If he thinks we need pace and trickery in the middle in some games he could go as Aguero as centerforward but usually probably with some strength and presence ie Dzeko or Balotelli.

Talk of four strikers is usually associated with traditional 4-4-2. We probably have six or seven strikers or two or three. Depending which way you look at it.

Id love us to give Guidetti his chance, cant the 25 be changed at Christmas? Give the lad 6 months to prove himself, if we make serious European inroads, and he doesnt make the cut, lets then get someone else.

He isn't included in 25. U21 and homegrown.

Good stuff NQDP. I'm with you. No need for a 4th striker.

I think there is a need for one. Sure we've got a system, but we're also in four competitions. Not only that, but we'll also need a Plan B at times in games.
