It's on SSN yellow banner now that we have accepted a bid from corinthians for tevez.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11679_7045626,00.html

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Corinthians for the sale of Carlos Tevez.

City turned down a £40million bid from the Brazilian club last week, with City believed to be holding out for £50million for a player who finished as joint top scorer in the Barclays Premier League last season with 20 goals.

However, speaking on the club's pre-season tour of North America, Mancini told Sky Sports News: "We have an agreement with Corinthians but Carlos now is still a City player."...< WTF this means i dont know.

I sincerely hope we've allowed for that in the clauses. Given our new hard-nosed make-up I'd be surprised if we haven't either put a time-frame on, or a very hefty sell-on, or both.

That's if we ever get the cash of course.

So we're thinking this is more than just posturing from Kia?

SSN understands we wouldn't accept £35m but we jumped at the chance of £15m if they took Jo as well

The more I think about the better it gets.

- Kompany will be captain
- We finally make a statement that we won't be walked all over
- We (should) get an exciting, younger replacement
- The circus leaves town

Good business imo

Without having seen the actual interview, I just get the feeling Bobby is being misquoted again, I think what he meant is we have an offer from Corinthians, but Carlos is still a City player

- The rags win the league.

I can't moan about where he has gone, he has gone closer to his family. If it was me i would email every single city fan personally with a big FUCK YOU IM OFF and attach a picture of my dick with the words 19 times written on it if thats what it took to get me home to my kid.

But i think we had a shot at the league this season with him upfront and fucking that up makes him a bad cunt in my selfish opinion. Then on then other hand i still have the home game against stoke saved on my sky+ and everytime i watch it i get a raging hardon for him but he is a twat stain. I'm confused. I reckon this is what a teenage girl feels like everytime there is a rumour justin bieber is fucking miley cyrus.

Bye bye Carlos, thanks for all the goals and assists and for always giving your all on the pitch.
No thanks for being a complete and utter cunt and drama queen off the pitch, handing in a transfer request at the most pivotal stage of our season last year (which I will never forgive or forget) and for being associated with that slimey criminal Kia.

We'll have just as big a shot with Aguero in the team imo.

It is very, very simplistic to say, like some idiots in the media do, that without Tevez we are nothing, and therefore Untied will win the league.

The inference is that no club can win the league without Tévez, which is clearly not the case. Most people who watched us in the 2nd half of last seaon (and that doesn't include the media, who rarely bother) would agree that as a unit we function better without him. Sure we miss a few luxury goals, but as is the case with any star player leaving, someone else fills the gap. In this case if it isn't Agüero it will be someone else. I suspect Bobby is glad to see the end of him and the team unit will go from strength to strength.

Tévez is a simple soul, from the BA slums, as has been written a million times. He doesn't have the capacity to learn English, and clearly neither does his missus, who I imagine comes from similar origins and not from the Brenda Aznicar glam-world. When he speaks Spanish it's like hearing Gazza murdering the English language, and I would think they would be unable to settle in Italy or even Spain as well. So none of this surprises me.

I hope he's worked out they speak Portuguese in Brazil though, or maybe he'll commute?

Cheers Carlo and thanks you.

Adios Carlitos you crazy fool.

No player with footballing ambition would leave city right now, such a pity to see such a great player not aiming to get the most out of his career. In 3 years time when he has past his best he will have the rest of his life to spend with his family.

Hope this deal is sealed asap and we can move forward. Thanks for the memories, a truly fantastic player while wearing the city shirt. No doubt he will look back at his time at city and know he was in the best form of his career with us.

I'm not saying we are a 1 man team (but without tevez last season we would be back in europa), im not saying we can never win the league without tevez (the odds get longer though), im not saying no one can win the league without tevez (but to win the league you need a player who drags the team through the shit games).

Aguero will replace tevez. He is young and will be a fresh canvas for mancini. But it will take him time to adjust to the prem and a new team. Its during that time we will miss tevez and lose a few points he might of got us. It's the adjustment period that worries me.

Bye bye Carlos, thanks for the memories.

You are a great player, one we will miss but not irreplaceable.

The pressure is on the board now to sign a top class replacement and turn this deal into a good one for all involved.

Totally gutted. He is the best striker I have ever seen in a City shirt, it's not even close. I include brilliant players like Tueart and Lee in that, players who were superb.

Still, the circus has been his own making and he seems to do it wherever he goes, so you have to question his fundamental make up. For the good of team unity and all that, better it's done with.

He'll take some replacing.
