I know we've often said it since the relaunch of the OS but I think that this summer's coverage and features have been fantastic, even the interviewer with the kids voice is growing on my now. I don't have a clue what other clubs' official sites are like but if ours isn't (by a distance) the best in class then I am very surprised.
Just been watching the CITC video of the launch of that kids pitch in LA.....funniest Poznan I've ever seen on that. Great David Silva video up too.
I don't know whether everyone watches the videos but if you don't, then you should.
Great work City

Agreed. Some great content and I love the fact it is updated every day with four or five new features.
I'm on the OS most days now, I rarely visited it prior to the upgrade.

The best bit of the site for me is that it's ad free! When you check other teams sites there really is no comparison

I've posted a few videos on a few different forums i browse and loads of fans of other teams (arsenal, newcastle, spurs etc) have all said that they wish their team did stuff like this. It's amazing;

I love it! From the Micah blog to the training videos, it's been fantastic this summer. Not to mention all the highlights of the matches etc. class.

Don't get me wrong I love the amount of videos that are up now but i have to say i think there is still a lot of work to do. One example of what I don't like is the way that questions are posed to the players, basically putting words in their mouths, and the question is often far longer than the response, I don't want to watch David Silva waiting for someone to finish talking. Maybe it's more aimed at kids I suppose, but it annoys me.
And while we're at it, other clubs end of season dvds use the match commentary that sky/bbc/itv uses but city use their own very mundane and biased commentator and i think it takes away the sense of occasion for some games. I know that a lot of commentators spend time berating but there is an awful lot of praise during games too. And the DVD decides to ignore massive news stories from the season like Tevez transfer request - WHY? We all know it happened, and things like that are as much a part of the season review as the games IMO.
Rant over.

I agree with the bit about the DVD, was really disappointed when I bought it this year and realised it was just all the match highlights, that are available for free on the website, put together on a disk. They should use BBC/Sky/ESPN commentary whatever, and then put some actual good behind the scenes stuff on there as an extra.

Three things stand out from the training video today,Milner is quality at shooting,so is Hart plus we could 1000000% play Bobby against lower league teams.

Decent point about the interviews.
The guy who does them was at his worst in the Silva interview. He's normally poor but the Silva one was just pointless. Also, he has the monotone drone about him which is irritating.

I'd LOVE to see Bob pick himself if we got some minnow in the Carling Cup.

Looking at the shape he is in i reckon he'd give the likes of Bolton,Wigan and Blackburn a run for their money.

Nothing new about Milner's finishing in training. He is often a stand out performer when I see him and he does stay behind more than most to practice it.

Couldn't agree more. We must have the best site in the football world - the videos and interviews give fans an unprecedented level of access to the players which no other football club offers. With regard to the 'interviewer with the kids voice' I was probably one of his biggest critics but his last two interviews with David Silva and Mike Summerbee/Timothy Dalton have actually been ok (I didn't cringe once during either of them). I can only assume that the club have visited this website, taken on board the comments regarding the interviewer, and told him to sort himself out :)

Haha, so true. How many Prem clubs could say that about their manager? Great times to be a City fan!

The whole relaunch of OS deserves muchos more credit than it gets really. For years and years I gave stick to them as our official site was like some fucking BASIC code in Arpanet. Almost overnight we had THE leading website in probably all of football.
I absolutely love the video coverage in official site these days and basically watch most of the stuff. I'd still like more coverage on Academy and Reserve (well we don't really have reserves anymore b ut you know what I'm saying) games but overall huge thumbs up from me.

This ^^^
When I wake up the first thing I do at the moment is head straight to the site to watch the latest videos from America. It's properly entertaining. Love it.

The Dzeko interview on today, about 2:45 in, a clip of some training, with some FUCKING TOTAL WIZARDRY from Mario and Edin, pretty awesome to watch them play like that. I know its only training, but those 2 have to much ability, its only a matter of time before they click together.
