Always the same with Barca, when they are buying they spend all their time pleading poverty and whinging that the price isnt fair. Yet when they are selling, they want all bar the buying club Chairmans first born child in a fee.
City-price, and everybody-else price clearly illustrated. Cant blame Snchez for wanting to go to Barca though, a no brainer for him. When he spends the next 18 months with his arse welded to the bench, he can then join us for $5m in 2013.

he has a €100m buy out clause in his contract GULP!

Do you really believe Udinese are stupid enough to accept so much less than City (allegedly) offered?
I assume there's add ons in this deal which won't be included in press reports.
However if City had signed him the add ons and probably his total wages accumulated over the term of the contract added to the initial fee would have been reported. So we probably would have seen reports of City sign Sanchez for 50million or something ludicrous like that.

I would think that we would have offered a similair deal (i.e. rising to 43 dependant on appearances etc)

The only reason we didn't sign him is was because of Barca's interest...not the price or anything. It's as simple as that. We never would have got him while Barca were still interested. Ah well...we move on...to Aguero.
