The Etihad Cup

Now that Etihad have bought the naming rights to the ground, I think it would be an ideal time to introduce an Etihad Cup competition before each season similar to the Emirates Cup.

Whilst I understand the reasons for the foreign tours before each season, I can't see why we can't have a few games against quality opposition at our place to finish off the pre-season preparations.

I certainly would like to go along and watch 2 games a day between top class teams and I'm sure plenty of other fans would too.

Was saying this to my flatmate when we were watching Arsenal. It's a great idea, we can still do the tour, but rather than going off to Dublin for a weekend, we get some great teams coming to us, I really don't see a downside to it at all.
