Why do you choose where you sit?

Simple question. I've moved up to the third tier this year, the reason being I like to watch the match again when I get in on Football First and the TV view is very similar to that from tier 1 so I like the two different perspectives of the game. Call me a boring sod but I also can't be arsed standing up, bobbing about or singing, I like to study the game.

We moved a few seasons ago to the south stand because we enjoy watching the game stood up

We are still in the seats that were allocated to us when we moved from Maine Road.
We are surrounded by people that we have got to know over the years and we're on the back row so can stand up without upsetting people behind us.

Off topic a bit but looks like I'll be in east level 3 for the Swansea game. What's the view/atmosphere like up there?

I've got front row seats on tier 2. I don't miss a thing and I like putting my feet up.

I'm in the same position as I was at Maine Rd, but my mates used to be close to the back of the Kippax behind me & start a lot of singing off, then when we moved grounds they found themselves in the top tier surrounded by dead people. Now they've succumbed to it & are pretty inactive. Moves like that have helped kill the atmospnere in some parts of the ground.

Block 104 East stand (The Kippax) Lower tier, 8 rows from the front.
Was teh seats allocated after moving from Maine Road. Used to love the Atmosphere between Kippax and North Stand with the away fans in that corner in between us.
I feel I slightly miss the atmosphere as it starts the other end of "The Kippax" and the south stand with the away fans splitting them.
Sit with my dad who wants to move back a bit, I want to get closer to the away fans as the atmosphere is always better there but he doesn't want to (he's getting older now).
We originally sat that as our first year was the old Umbro stand and moved to the Kippax the season it opened trying to get as close to the half way line as possible.

Since this thread is about seating locations I figured that I'd get some information from you guys that I'm curious about...
Forgive me, I'm from the US so I don't know these things....
What's a single match ticket cost for a match like...let's say, vs. Arsenal @ home? Im sure it depends on location. So if I could get a price range depending on location that'd be swell.
Thinking of making it out to England for the first time in December and would love to make it to a match...

in the past few seasons the tickets for big games have been just below £50.
After seeing that some tickets against Swansea were priced at £42 I'd guess the big matches will cost a bit more this season.
but if you live in US the ticket price surely is not going to matter at all if you have already decided to travel to UK is it?
