Are You Happy With Our PreSeason So Far?

I'm a bit concerned that we don't seem to be playing our best team and that some of our normal starting XI have had very little playing time so far.

I would have thought that pre-season was the time to get your best players used to playing together again rather than blooding a load of youngsters.

Add this to the fact that Tevez and Zabeleta are still on holiday and I don't think our preparations have gone as well as they have for other clubs.

Two games in two days and you think we should field our strongest side against some cobbled together Irish eleven when we have to play Inter the following day?

Compared to the utter shambles of last season's, this is brilliant imo.

Learned not to give a shit about preseason results. Either way.

Preseason is about getting fitness level up and trying different combos.

I'm more worried about our busy preseason schedual and wonder when the heavy fitness training will take place.

by the time the league begins I think we will have seen our best pre-season in terms of both results and quality of opposition.

If the players are getting fit and ready for the new season and the matches that matter, then yes.

Have we not won every game? I've not seen any of the games but not to lose has to be a plus, especially when you compare it to last pre-season.

And can't we win another cup, just like Chelsea have been hyped up for? Every hole's a goal, as they say.

The whole idea of the pre-season is to ready the players for The Community Shield game and opening league game against Swansea.

The results of those two matches will ultimately tell us how effective the pre-season was.

Absolutely fantastic. Not lost a game, got plenty of players out for a game and showed the CL winners (13 months ago), and quarter finalists last season, how to play football.

It doesn't get much better than this ;-)

Preseason results means fucl all.
the only match which has potentially some importance is the community shield. and that is only as it might possibly give some sort of confidence boost to the winning team
