Hes currently on the transfer list there, i remember the days when i thought he was the next Alan Shearer, thank god those days are gone!

Damn. Always thought he was a good little player. Hope the charges against him are false.

funnily was thinking that as i watched guidetti yesterday, in fairness to guidetti hes much better off the ball than evans and id imagine a nightmare to mark while evans is a bit static.

Obligatory. Innocent til proven guilty and all the rest though - hope for everyone's sake it never happened.

Was never sure why he got games ahead of the likes of Sturridge - two years on and he's playing in League One.

And some people were questioning me when I said few weeks back that while our Academy is doing great producing professional footballers, we are falling badly short teaching them how to behave in life.

i agree, although im always sceptical of these rape claims against footballers. I met him outside stadium a few years ago and his missus was 10/10, seems a shocking fall from grace!

You have got a choice. You can pick up nice, safe kids from Worsley and Alderley Edge and have it cushy, or you can try and help troubled kids from the darker areas of England (Huyton - Barton, East End of London - the Etuhus etc) make something of themselves. City, because of where they come from, don't take the easy route and never have.

What would those kids have been like without City? Give me a concrete answer to that, then you can blame City. Otherwise I think you are talking through your arse, mate.

Yeah. I'm not saying Ched has done anything wrong but about half of our youth products seem to end up in some sort of trouble with law.

Look mate, football has always been working class game. To make it in the top demands certain degree of killer instinct and fact is that majority of middle class kids simply lack that sort of determination and hunger because they got other things to fall back to.

Having said that, we need to put more emphasis on their development in mental side. Try to give them good education while also giving them good football education. That will also be great selling point to parents of future stars regardless of their background.

It's not just City, it's footballers in general.

Looks like they don't put much, eh? And if they do then people do it need to be replaced.

Maybe they should look how they do it in Amsterdam?

Oh yeah, cos Edgar Davids is a lovely man who doesn't hit women and Patrick Kluivert definitely isn't a rapist and never killed anyone did he?

So you DO agree that producing football talent is not the only way to measure Academy.

But hey, you don't know what you are talking about, do you?

Where did I say that?
Oh yeah, that's right......nowhere.

Ajax do actually put a lot of emphasis on education btw, just goes to show that doesn't guarantee the players they churn out won't be cunts though.

it does seem we have a higher percentage than everyone else though, from barton to tandy(was it him that was done for bribery that time?may have been a different player, the goalkeeping lad) to BWP to Etuhu to evans......
