Only Beesley said we'd win the league, (the rest said you know who) justifying it along the lines of "Well I'll be different". And, "Fergie woukld win it with that squad, so would Wenger. So if Mancini is as good as he says he is...."

Well, for a start Wenger would never buy the playes that make up the squad.

Ho hum, another (hunting) season beckons

Sorry, but if you were left with a feeling of anti City bias after watching that programme then the problem lies with you.

I thought it was OK today, i tend to agree with most of what they had to say, generally saying between the 2 manchester clubs for the title & manchester now the leading city in world football. Thought the comments about ballotelli all fair also.

Let's face it, the rags are entitled to be favourites and most pundits would be expected to take the easy option.

I am more than happy for us to be underdogs. Even Mancini during the week said he wants the team to compete for the title for as long as possible. He didn't say we'd win it. This is good. Lower expectations mean less pressure on the side.

And if you can't read peoples posts then the problem is with you.

If Scum play everyone like they did yesterday, then the rest will be right!!

Couldn't see anything wrong with the programme to be honest. Very disappointing. Every journalist suddenly seems to have us in the top two as if we'd been there forever! Never doubted us for a minute!

Ferguson would win the league by a mile with our squad but Wenger wouldn't .We should be amongst the favourites but rags & Chelsea are still more bedded in than we are. If Bob is good enough you would expect us to look like a genuine title challenging side after Christmas & put in a big finish though.

Well Mourinho took a team that finished second and won the league, so I don't see why it should not be expected of Mancini at this stage.

We definitely need more creativity!

What about Ancelotti, Ted?

Not a fan of his personally, just my opinion.I think Bob is much better than Ancelotti but not yet in the class of Ferguson or Mourinho. He shows signs that he could be on that level eventually though.

I thought you will say that, i remembered you had a ”problem” with Ancelotti. I genuine think that he is a little better than Bob, thinking that Mancio couldn't had won the title with Celski.
Imho, Bob must fix two issues:
1) The slow star that City have in every big game match and the last 15 minutes.
2) The comeback problem. City can't come from behind and win a game. We've seen it with Scum, Wolves, Everton, etc. He has world class players and he must inspire them to do so. I was lucky enough to see Bob, as a player and Sampdoria was a team that was know for their "rising up from the dead".

Ancelotti had Jose's team & mentality already there for him. Imo that made his job much easier.

I recon Bob would be deadly in those circumstances.

I think Bob's problem now is how to move from a defensive to an attacking philosophy without getting fired because we start to let goals in. It cost Hughes his job but unless you can attack, you don't win the Prem. Bob knows that I think & tbh, it's a big ask to do it in one season as it would have been for MH to sort the defence out in the same period of time. I'm happy enough if we progress & look the part personally.

Sunday wasn't progression though. Lets hope it's a one off.

If Tevez stays I recon we'll be a totally different proposition though. Him & Aguero would scare the shit out of teams & graft too.
