Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Yesterday..

Postby Londonblue » Mon Aug 08, 2011 1:09 pm

First, not been on for about 2 years, so yes I'm alive, and no, I don't have enough time in my day for everything....

Anyway, I was fortunate enough to get some corporate tickets for the game and was sat in row 12 next to the City players - got a few autographs, pics etc. Kids loved it, and the Mrs was swooning all day at the players and the free wine.

Anyway, I was stood by our seats as the players returned from getting their medals - saw all the City team and then the Scum. As Shrek walked down the stairs he ignored all requests for an autograph until he go to within a few feet of me, a woman in her 70s from the other side of the steps asked him for an autograph. As he obliged, I shouted, "It's only 'cos she's a Granny...". Even some of the U****d players laughed!

Hope everyone's well. Have I missed anything?

Brilliant that one.

On the tube going back into london city. Two absolutely smashed guys in suits ( cheap ones , but they looked tidy) . Got on with us and started arguing with each other and sort of play fighting, both easily late forties , but in a jovial way . Both had Fa.com ids and as we went along, it turned out one was a Cardiff fan and his mate was a Swansea fan. They were doing oneupmanship all the time . Cardiff guy says the swansea girls are ugly , the other one say "Baa" , and so on. Then my cousin asked the Swansea guy what he thinks about next week and he says "i cant lose, i'm a city fan , been so since 1984. I love watching City" "i follow city all the time. Mind, that's the first time(yesterday), that i've seen city since 1985 in the flesh" . I asked him why and he said " oh, i'm banned from watching football for fighting", we all cracked up. Fan since 84, banned in 85 !
"Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs."
