Great guy, not too sure about the football. Will always be remembered for sleeping at the airport, that smile, and that shoulder at OT.

Ran into an old friend who is a Stockport fan last night who told me.
He was quite giddy about it. He said "He'll frighten defenders in the Blue Sq. to death"
Somehow I have my reservations about that.

He'd walk into most football league teams, no way would he have to slip all the way to non-league.

Apparently he lives near there, knows Hamann from their time here together and is purely training with them at the moment. There's an article on the Stockport website about it

That confirms he's training with them. I would be extremely surprised if he gave up lower Prem/Championship wages to play for them though.

Seems strange he turned down premier league team bt he did his best work at pompey so why not, will score goals in chamopinship!
