Cheaper beer, better quality food and improved service … meet the latest summer signings at the Etihad Stadium!

We spent much of last season consulting with and listening to our fans about what they want from a visit on match day – aside from the three points or a cup win.

All the surveys and focus groups pointed to quality, availability, costs and staff and we have worked hard this summer responding to those wishes and refining our offerings.

So this season draught beer will be 20p per pint cheaper, there will be an upgraded Gourmet Classic Cheese Burger topped with Aberdeen Angus beef, tomato relish and Creamy Lancashire Cheese and a gourmet fresh chicken burger with 100% British Chicken breast in a seeded bun and Piri Piri sauce. Both come with fresh iceberg lettuce and will sell at £4.50.

Pie choice and hot dogs will remain the same except in level two east and west where the premium quality hot dog will be usurped by a Dingly Dell Farmhouse pork sausage with fried onions.

Nothing compares to the chicken tikka pies when Pukka Pies used to supply us.

As I told them on Twitter yesterday the beer and food could be free it doesn't make a difference if you can't get served because the staff don't understand what is being said to them or they say we've run out

hmm those Chicken Balti pies really were the bitches flaps .... I used to scoff two of those at half time in the Maine Road days ....

I had a chicken balti at wembley on sunday.

Didn't come close to filling the hole left by the hot pot pie's.

I usually just purchase a dirty burger from the stalls outside the ground, and chow down on the half an onion they put on it. Can't remember the last time I actually bought food inside the ground. I usually have to drive so don't drink either.

Just go to the chippy opposite the away end on the main road pudding chips peas and curry for the price of a burger in the ground

They did mention improved service, so you never know, but I'm doubting it'll happen. I wouldn't use them, but, sitting in the family stand, my daughter now sees half time chips as part of the match day ritual. I see standing in a queue fuming as I miss the start of the second half as part of mine.

Getting a beer down there though is easy I've noticed when I've had my little lad with me down there.

Agreed - the Chicken Balti Pies last season were cack!

I miss a good Chick balti Pie.

Glad to see the Chick Sarnie has real ICEBURG lettuce with it - none of that poncy rocket muck!
