he does what he does, well. it's up to the defence to deal with him, and most do. i've a grudging admiration for him a la keith edwards, micky quinn, dean holdsworth, bobby campbell and billy whitehurst. i'm a connoisseur of the goal scoring donkey.

Last season he was the most fouled and most Yellow Carded person in the league. Whether they were fouls or him throwing himself to the ground are a different matter.

Always liked Kevin Davies. Seems like a top bloke from the interviews I've seen - his style of football is akin to Tony Pullis' wet dream but he makes no bones about what he does.

I actually like Kevin Davies's style. He wins almost everything in the air and knows how to use his body to his advantage.

No defender ever betters him. They can keep him at bay but they never, ever better him. If he had a deadly finish to match his awkwardness, he'd get 40 goals a season but his weakness is that, unlike today, more often than not when he gets half a chance, he misses it.

It's interesting that when an aerial ball approaches him his first move is to grab the defender. From there, he tussles. A free kick HAS to occur one way or the other.

His tackle on Aguero from behind was a disgrace.

He is the kind of forward we are missing.

I'm not sure about him being most fouled (it's not like he has pace and people would NEED to foul him) but he has been in and around top 5 on conceded fouls table for the past ten seasons or so. Some years even topping it.

Davies is better version of Paul Dickov. Usefull player for team like Bolton I'm sure but fucking horrible to watch.
