We are now favs for him to join.

And SkyBet tweeted this minutes ago.

Scott Parker to Man City? We've seen some big bets for him to join #mcfc. Speculative punting? Or do they know something?

be a bit out of sorts if we end up with him instead of nasri - although he'll no doubt be the cheaper option

I for one, will be massively underwhelmed if we sign Parker. Average player at best.

I watched him v Leeds yesterday. Did nothing. I'm not a fan, though he was once a very good player. Also, I don't think he fits our required age profile. Unless he's a Vieira type of acquisition. I suspect it's utter bullshit.

Could be a ploy for us to trick Arsenal into moving for him. Wishful thinking.

Mancini said he's short of a player in CM now Vieira hasgone. He also said he hopes to bring in more than Nasri. He also said sign or loan, to replace Vieira.

This could be a loan, trim WH wage bill for the season, fill in the experienced, slow midfielder spot.

It's better than the championship.

Looks like he has less options than he thought he would have and the clock is well and truly ticking.

would be a great loan signing if mancini thinks we still need strengthening in that area. would of thought parker would want to play every game though to stay in the england set up

This.

Not a super massive fan of either Milner or Barry (although both were brilliant yesterday) but they are far superior players to Scott Parker.

He had his chance in big club and was really really disappointing. He was laughable overrated last season.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

He's not what we need at all - we require someone without a daft barnet for a start. (to try and set an example to some of the others in the squad)

He's in the same bracket as Bridge, Bellamy. SWP and Ned. Simply not good enough to take us where we want to go.

Why at his age would he want to be a squad player for us?

These threads existed at the time too. It was meant to be a double swoop.

Only in the premier league would a player who's team got relegated get the POTY award
