Liverpool

Apparently, they were dead good & according to John Barnes, are more likely to come back from being a goal down than us or Chelsea.

This, after Chelsea have just come back from a goal down & won.

What fucking planet are these people on ?

I suspect that john barnes didn't see them either.

they're going to win the league.... apparently.

that on the back of a good opening 45 mins against sunderland and then scoring 2 (off side) goals against a 10 man, demoralised arsenal...

Both teams looked shit. Nasri was the only good player for Arsenal imho and Frimpong was decent until he got sent off. Would have ended in a draw I think if Arsenal had not lost a man.

I guess pundits are paid to be contoversial at times.
Personally I thought Liverpool did OK and taking three points at the Emirates all be it a gainst a substandard Arsenal team is not bad going.
There were some pretty decent individual performances in Enrique Downing and Suarez when he came on. They still looked more a collection of individuals rather than a team which given the time they have been together is not suprising. I would not be suprised to see them in the shake up for top four at the end of the season. I would be suprised to see them challenging for the title at a late stage of the season though.

They won the game after "Ping-Pong" was sent off and that Miquel lad had a horrible debut. The real Liverpool was last week, with Sunderland. They look a lot like us, with Hughes (in his first season).

Hughes played entertaining pass & move football with small forwards, Liverpool lumped every ball in the air to Andy Carroll. The two styles couldn't be more different.

I quite like their optimism and the fact that sections of the media will believe them thus taking a bit more pressure off us ...

I think they completely controlled the game against Arsenal and looked good for long periods against Sunderland. They've fallen way behind us, munes and chavs but they have recovered in the past 8 months. I reckon they're a shoo-in for 4th at the minute. The biggest thing about that Arse win, however they managed it, is that they seem to be getting over their shocking away form of the last few seasons. Their home form has always been as good as anyone's.

If they'd have started with Suárez and Meireles instead of Carroll and Henderson, Arsenal wouldn't have got a kick.

This.

Hope the media continue to love them. Carroll apparently is still promising whilst Dzeko has a lot to prove lol!

I watched the first half and switched off, it was so bad. Arsenal may be good bet for 10th this season. Liverpool are better, but if Suarez gets injred, they have nothing. Carrol for 35 million looks like a horrible buy.

I still say us, The Rags and Spurs are the 3 best teams; very interested to see this game tonight, though is it not absolutely typical for The Rags that Modric will not be playing? I wonder if Modric will be playing on Saturday? Chelsea are incredibly predictable.

I think they are in decline. Terry looks ropey to me and Lampard is about 50% of what he was. They strike me as a good side, obviously, but nothing special. Ask yourself this question: Which Chelsea player would get into our first team? It's a total turnaround from, say, 5 years ago.

I am convinced this is between us and The Rags, though I expect Spurs to finish 3rd. They won't dick about with the Europa league (I don't think) and will be fresher as a result. I'd go with Chelsea 4th, Liverpool 5th. After that, anyone's guess. I suppose Arsenal will strengthen and be in the top 6, but it would not surprise me if they unravelled like their manager and finished 10th. 1 point from 6 is miserable and indicates how wrong they are right now.

I'm probably going to be completely wrong.
