My question was lost/ignored among the champions league draw thread so thought i'd start a new one.

How easy do you think it will be for Blue card members to get tickets to the champions league home games?

I know league games are easy enough but i'm thinking there will be extra demand for these games.

I'm going to be in Manc for the league game against Norwich and then Matchday 6 against Bayern. Any advice for someone who's never been before?

It's all on the OS now innit? Open sale is quite early and prices look reasonable to me.

How does the chump league ticket scheme work? I've joined it but have no idea. Do I still need to call and pay the 2 quid booking fee? Or do they magically take the money off the card I paid for my sc?

£25 will disappear from your bank account on tuesday, if its any more they have charged you the online/phone fee in which case you ring them and say "WHAT THE FUCK STAR? YOU TAKING THE PISS BLAAAD? I WILL MERK YOU FAM" and they will give you the fee part back.

I'm very impressed with the pricing. I honestly thought that Adult prices would be starting from around £40 so well done City.

Agreed. Very reasonably priced these. I was afraid they'd be upwards from £50 tbh!

And re the opening post, I'm sure you won't have any issues getting tickets for group stage home matches as long as you don't leave it late.

I'm amazed at how cheap they are.

Was speaking to a lad at work about it earlier and he couldn't believe it. Both old firm clubs sell most CL tickets in three match packages. the three match package at rangers last season was £115.

£25.00 is brilliant value.

Just a thought, but don't the club get a share of the TV revenue based on their 'marketability'? Wouldn't attendance be taken into account when UEFA are deciding this (as well as many other factors including ranking, sponsors' wishes, nation of origin, etc.), and therefore it's in the clubs interest to have cheap seats and a full house, as this will be reflected in CL earnings?

Then again, the Rags, Valencia and Bursaspor were the three best teams to have played a competitive match in Scotland last season.

Doesn't matter. The price comparrison is ridiculous when you consider the quality of players on view in home sides. I was amazed when I saw that tickets were £25.00.

I expected us to do a three match package at around the £110 - £120.00 mark. I wonder how the other premier league teams go about selling the tickets? Does anyone know?

I don't know whether it's right saying this, but I think the CL is less important to English fans of a certain age than those in other countries- I know me and all my friends who I grew up with (almost all of whom were Rags or Dippers) view it as secondary to domestic competitions, probably because the period in which we started to formulate our views on football was the same time that English clubs were banned from European competitions.

I think tickets aren't too pricey for Old Trampford CL games- lack of weekend tourists, etc. means they're often on open sale. That's the only time my rag cousin gets to go to games.
