Samir Nasri's Debut

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Samir Nasri's Debut

Postby King Kev » Sun Aug 28, 2011 3:19 pm

Slotted straight into the side didn't he!

He completed a huge 69 of his attempted 71 passes and had a hand in 3 of our goals. He also looked to be bloody enjoying himself!

Top start Samir, more of the same please.

Looked like he'd been playing here for years, very impressive debut and can't wait for more. The inter play between the front four was as good as I've seen in this league, or certainly on par... It's still early yet, but the understanding is only gonna get better, Just think we have Johnson, Tevez, Ballotelli to add and change to this and they have 12+ months experience of having played in this setup.

Excellent debut and a close second to Dzeko for MOTM. Our attacking play was irresistible and Spurs simply couldn't live with us. Sexy football

Fantastic debut and in any other game he would've been the headline maker for both his performance and assists. Unfortunately for him he was overshadowed, though I doubt he'll be in the slightest bit bothered.

a hattrick of assists...not bad.

maybe im just being pessimistic but does anyone else worry about his possible arrival
affecting the normally superb performances of silva? silva looked a shadow of himself
today....he is shooting more but still.

Far from it!

Nasri will take a lot of the pressure off Silva and will give him the space to express himself even more. The way the two of them linked up today you would have thought they had been playing together for years.

Nasri will only make Silva (even) better.

Nasri looked every inch a World Class Premier League seasoned player. He just fits the team...not sure, but Robbie Savage (totally approve of him these day) may have said the 'Missing piece of the jigsaw'. Spot on. We hjave threatened for a while now, especially sicne the Anfield debacle. We now look awesome. Nasri completes the picture, he was superb.

Nice debut. I didn't think it was that special as an individual performance but a very very good part in a magnificent team performance. The key is that is he does good things very well and makes them look simple.Like crossing a ball for Dzeko's 2nd!

It shouldnt be that hard to cross ball as he did but we have some who struggle with it. Great interplay throughout the whole team and I thought Barry and Yaya complimented the attacking flair superbly.

Do you know I was about to reply to a comment he put in the match thread about Silva and then just thought that I couldn't be bothered to get into it whilst such a superb performance was happening.

Phips, seriously, what are you talking about? You had about 3 digs in the match thread and now this? Are you seriously saying that you thought Silva was poor today? His link up play with Samir was superb, along with both Dzeko and Aguero.

Jeeeesss we win 5-1 away at Spurs and still people find something to complain about.

He was 2nd in the MOTM stakes, for me. He is massively under-rated by far too many people.

Did Arse ever thrash the Spuds like this while Nasri was there?

Thought he was great, seems to have struck up an instant rapport with Silva and Aguero and Dzeko definitely enjoyed his delivery.

Thought Aguero's movement was also excellent and I'm really enjoying Clichy. In fact Savic has also seems pretty good so very happy with the summer transfer activity
