The end of an era and he's brought it on himself IMO.
One of my favourite managers for style of play etc, but his stubborness has fucked Arsenal over the last couple of years... to the point where I cringe when he's being interviewed about the upcoming game and he still smiles like he's about to suprise everyone and destroy his next opponent.
He has become a con man and he's got himself fooled.
Only a matter of time IMO.

Coquelin, Ozyakup, Sunu
Are any words needed after those names? I think they will have a shitty season, but i don't think he will be sacked.

I really don't understand why people go on about the way Arsenal play. Watching them sends me to sleep!
No league goals scored this season and that is unlikely to change any time soon from what I have seen. Shocking!
If Wenger goes it will benefit Arsenal and the Premier League in general.

Great manager, but as Carl points out, fucking deluded. Obviously it's not as dramatic as the decline of Brian Clough, but this is a pretty dramatic shift in fortunes. I wouldn't write them off just yet, but they have no chance of winning the league and Wenger has lost his grip... I could see Liverpool overtake Arsenal for 4th this season, if that happens, then literally anything could happen at Arsenal and Wenger might well cave into the pressure.

Watching them a few years ago maybe, when they just did what they liked and no-one could get close to them. This is not the Arsenal of style, bravado and flair we have seen in the past. Fucking empty shell right now with Wenger looking lost at sea.

Yeah I meant a few years ago for style, but it's looking extremely bleak for Wenger. He won't be sacked but he may cal it a day sooner rather than later.

Fucking hell 3-0 now and it's not even half-time. The rag bastards look like they could eclipse our demolition of the Yids.

Good post.
Stubbornness is just what it is. It's gone beyond what is right for Arsenal and it seems it's now all about him. His opinion on the value of Cahill or Jageilka is neither here nor there. What matters is the market value and sometimes you just have to swallow it and pay the going rate.
Had he been less stubborn, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that he could have gone in to today's game with Cahill, Jagielka and Parker for what he received for Fagregas. He might view that as a rip off but in the context of what his team needs it would have been great business.

Its not a managers job to question a players price imo...they tell the board who they want and if they can afford the player they buy them. I feel that Wenger sticks his fat nose into the price of the player as if the money comes out of his own pocket...this is his downfall imo.

Spot on. Its exactly what I'm talking about. He has himself fooled into thinking he still has a side that can win the league. They made fourth and then lost their two best players FFS.

Depends where you are sitting at the time I suppose, although imploding sounds painful even if you made it to the loo.

the game isn't over and neither is the transfer window. I am totally convinced he'll buy 1 or 2 players from Shaktar and normal service will be resumed. Good but not quite good enough.

if you look at Arsenal's bench today or even other games you can see why they're so poor.
liverpool, man u, and city (unfairly so) have deep benches and can bring people on. Wenger's
"best" sub is Chamakh and he's dreadful nowadays.
and it looks like theyre going to splash 17m euros on some striker for monaco.......why?
sure you need goals but if you leak them like no other that wont help. cahill, jag, and/or samba
should be on top of his list.

He should just walk away from the stadium now. It's getting embarrassing.
