Who was the last City player to score four goals in an away match ?
Genuine question.
I'm minded to say Denis Law in that infamously abandoned FA cup tie circa 1961/62 but I really don't know.

Got to be David White, I don't think it had happened before he did it either.

Burnley sprang to my mind, Wanchope though and I just looked but it was merely a hat trick

Interesting that in both this game and the one yesterday our 'keeper had to make a few good saves.
It's easy to forget this and just to remember the goals but it just goes to show how important it is to have a class goalie to base your team on.

I wonder if it's nights like that & the day we fucked up Taylor's Villa title challenge, which led to him hating us so much before we gave him a job ?

Indeed, a slip up early on & it would have been a different game. The save which Hart made v DeFoe's swerving chest high shot, although it was no so important by then as it was late in the game, was nonetheless brilliant imo.

Dennis Law scored all six goals for City in a league cup tie away to Luton in 1961
The game was abandoned with twenty minutes to go
Luton won the replay 3-1
Typical City.... the legend continued....
