Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves is reportedly on the brink of joining local rivals Manchester City on a free transfer.
Hargreaves left United at the end of last season upon the expiry of his contract after enduring an injury-ravaged four years at Old Trafford.
He has attracted interest from several clubs over the summer and, after being linked with Leicester City, was offered a contract by West Bromwich Albion.
The former Bayern Munich man has yet to make a decision on whether to join the Baggies, with Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur subsequently linked with offers.
However, the 30-year-old could now join Roberto Mancini's City after he was pictured leaving Bridgewater hospital following a three-hour medical.

Baffling signing. He's old, injury prone and we already have several dms.

It actually makes perfect sense if you put some thought in to it.

That's it, fuck off City. We claim to be a big club, then they go and do something like this now they have our season card money.

signing hargreaves on some sort of pay as you play deal is a pretty smart signing I think ... don't know what anyone would get worked up about. FREE signing ... pay as you go ... if he ever gets fit, we'll have a good player, if for nothing else than rotation ... and if he doesm't, well he ain't gettin paid. simple. experienced mid to take vieira's spot.

I've just e-mailed the club venting my frustration at this deal, demanding a refund on my seasoncard and a complimentary big bag of Haribo Starmix to see me through my misery. Not good enough.

This^^^^
Free transfer, see how he pans out, sends him home if he doesn't. I cannot understand why anyone would be upset at this, it is zero-sum game. He doesn't pan out we lose nothing. He is useful and it is a steal. I swear some of us have lost sight of things, not every player we bring in is going to be Nasri or even Clichy. As a depth player, a cheap one, this is brilliant if it works, and only a blip if it fails.
And if it does work, just another dagger in Baconface's back.

This is so funny its untrue!
He is like a 30 year old with the legs of a 27 year old, they haven't been used for 3 years, he must have another 6 years at the top level left in him yet. If he does make a start for us, which is very unlikely IMO, it would be very funny if he played well and even scored!
The press is going to be full of baconvenom tomorrow LMFAO!
