Will this be the day we get that huge signing through the door? A real shock to world football a proper statement of intent. I love deadline day anything can happen.......

Nope. I reckon Hargreaves seems to have shocked the RAGS far more than Aguero!

Hehe, I was searching for today's equivalent about 5 minutes ago, but with no success...

Corluka; tapped up by bent Harry with offers of more money whilst City were in the usual turmoil. As with James & Distin before, the twitching bastard feeding on City, using his bent, bung loving, mates to take another of our players. Corluka off to play for a 'bigger club' & play with his little bumchum Modric.

Ha.

I think today will be more about who we can clear from the books.

Adebayor
Bellamy
SWP
Bridge
Onuoha
M.Johnson?
Taylor?

I think Hargreaves is enough for us today, very shrewd signing I think although Antti is probably tearing out hair with the thought of another rag on board.

Ade and Johnson already on loan, Swp all but done to Qpr.

Would be very very surprised if we did anything major, just can not see it.We have done some mighty fine business all the same.Just wish we had managed to have turned some of those loan deals into permanent moves.

Puts into perspective the success or otherwise of last day transfers, the only two signings there that were succesful for the money paid were possibly Corluka and Fellaini. Neither were exactly outstanding value either. Maybe Higginbotham as well to be fair.

Wages probably a sticking point; Kia Joorabchian will want the full whack.

Robinho, the 24-year-old Brazilian, has left Real Madrid and signed for Manchester City. That is officially the biggest deadline day deal in history. Probably

Rumours are Spurs are making a big signing: @TomHuddlestone6: "Can't believe who just sneaked into the training ground the back way! Wow"

There are maybe 6 or 7 players that it could seriously be in the whole of football for a) him to have not heard a rumour from the club, b) him to say 'Wow!' and c) it to be true.

My bet is Anelka.

Only problem with this is that Bent 'Arry was still Portsmouth manager at the time, we stuffed his team 6-0 that year with a couple of ex City players in it.
