ASHLEY YOUNG
(Aston Villa to Manchester United - £16m)
Gary Neville says he can’t believe how quickly Young has adjusted to life at Old Trafford. The winger looks like a seasoned United campaigner with his link-up play, work rate and goals.
Villa will justifiably think they should have asked for more than the £16million he went for.

DAVIDE SANTON
(Inter Milan to Newcastle - £5m)
A good bit of business. He is highly regarded by respected coaches such as Marcello Lippi and Jose Mourinho, who recommended him to Newcastle.
Injuries to his right knee stalled his progress at Inter but the 20-year-old full back is fit and ready to kick-start his career.
BEN FOSTER
(Birmingham to West Bromwich Albion - loan, £1m)
Despite his blip against Stoke City, Foster could represent the difference between West Bromwich staying up or going down this season — and all for a £1m loan fee.
An excellent goalkeeper who will develop a better understanding with his defenders as the season goes on.
MICHEL VORM
(FC Utrecht to Swansea City - £1.5m)

Vorm looks an absolute steal. Brendan Rodgers had real problems finding a goalkeeper suitable for Swansea’s Barclays Premier League campaign and left it late, signing him only on August 10.
The 27-year-old has good feet, is agile and will give his team confidence.
SAMIR NASRI
(Arsenal to Man City - £24m)
The Frenchman already looks like the missing link for Roberto Mancini'stitle pretenders. His movement and speed of thought have given City greater fluidity in attack and even at such a huge price for a player with one year left on his contract it represents great business.
