Agreed. Name 23 for the PL and put in a couple of the kids - Razak and Rekik - for the CL!

As I read it , neither is eligible as an U21 for the Champ's Lg unless I'm misunderstanding the rules.


There is a great big Ned shaped space in the Champ's Lg squad as 4 places can only be taken by players who were at the club for 3 years between 15 & 21. Only Micah, from the current squad, seems to fit that description. Bridge is fucked.

You're right Ted in regards under21s. They must have spent at least 2 years at the club to be eligible for the B list, they must be named in A squad to be eligible e.g. Savic and Balotelli.

In regards to club grown is Joe Hart considered club grown? He was 19 when he joined but I think because of when his birthday falls he may qualify as club grown. Not sure though, anyone know for sure?

If he's not we can only name a max of 23 players ( including Ned ) for CL meaning someone of the list above ( discounting Bridge ) will miss out on CL.

I find it interesting the Ned has a very useful need for us. Can you imagine if we hit a patch during the African Nations Cup and he is pressed into service due to injury?

Ned is overrated by a lot of fans..if he was as good as they make him out to be then potato head would have bought him, seeing as he failed to go anywhere then maybe the hype is exacly that.

i remember thinking he was better than nicah until he got ijured. rarely seen him put a fot wrong. plus - he's a lovely lad.

i'm GUESSING we turned one or two bids down for him in this window.
