I'll never bet on CL again damnit. Lost ever single bet, useless.
Not too impressed by barca tbh, nevermind Milan. Parked the bus, big time.
However I think barca were not at their best, more to come I reckon.

Milan showed up Barca's weakness; they're all dwarves. 2 banks of 4 staying central infront of the penalty area. Barca had 70 odd percent of theball but rarely created anything as they can't do anything from out wide. Relied once again on Messi to make the breakthrough & a brilliant free kick then got arse raped at a corner.
If Milan used those tactics at OT, the rags would just bombard them with crosses & score 5 but Barca can't. They rely on Messi unlocking it through the middle. Milan were bobbins & couldn't pass wind but got a draw just by being tight.

I watched Dortmund v Arse. They constantly told us how good the match was. I didn't see much quality and I think our current City would take them both apart. Home or away. We should fear no-one.

Your spot on bud.Good post. They lacked a plan b tonight.. We can also play with dwarves up front like them, but least we can change the system when needed with Dzeko and Mario.

Great result for milan nontheless, i dont think they were out there to look good to be honest. I think they'd have played a lot differently against any other team. Good old italian defensive tactics worked well. Qualification is the name of the game at this stage and any team in the world would settle for a point at the Nou Camp. Barca were far from their best i thought though and a more adventurous side may have got a result, but as i said, its all about points on the board and Milan will be happy with that.

After watching that piss poor performance by both Barca and Milan. I just know that City are going places this season.

I was playing footy tonight so I missed it all. How did Arsenal play? Of the former 'big 4' they were the ones I used to really root for in Europe. When I was working in Spain in 2006 and I saw Boro and Arse lose to Seville and Barça in the space of a week I was actually genuinely gutted. That Boro/Seville game has to go down as the biggest twatting I've ever witnessed in a major final.
I've not seen any of the Barça/Milan game but I looked at the match stats on my way home and apparently Milan only had 25% of the ball!

Neither team played anything like their best - probably down to a bit of first game jitters etc, no-one wants to lose their first game. But i agree, it just goes to show that Barca
are most definitely beatable, and as if we needed it, gives us that extra bit of confidence and belief that we really can go far in this tournament.
I, for one, am terribly excited.
Come on City!!!

Too bad that all the derbies in this part were tonight. Dortmund-Arse, Barca-Milan, Chelski-Leverkusen, even Porto-Shakhtar. From now on we'll have games like Nicosia-Porto, Bate-Milan, Plzen-Barca, Gent-Chelski. Not many options in this side.
Nevertheless, great performance by Milan. They hold their ground with 4 or 5 players in first eleven that are over 34 years. Maybe with Robinho, Zlatan, Gattuso or even Pippo Inzaghi they could had won this. The replay on San Siro will be something to see.
PS: Incredible the strike that Hulk had. He practically ripped off the net.

A couple of years back I bet on some CL matches for fun, I would have won something like a thousand pounds; I lost because Arsenal lost to CSKA Moscow...CL is much more unpredictable than league games, although I've never won much on those either.

One of my finest punting moments came in the champs league. Picked the correct result of all eight matches one night in an accumulator. Can't remember when it was but I remember Fabrizio Miccoli scored for Benfica on 93/94 mins to bring up the last result.
The accumulator paid roughly 185/1. Think I had £2.50 on.

Pirlo isnt on Milan anymore...he's on Juventus.
I watched the Chelsea-Bayern Lev. game instead of the boring AC Milan-Barca game. Chelsea didnt look themselves but David Luiz's goal was a cracker. and for the 2nd game in a row Sturridge started and looked impressive.
i also wanna check out the Bayern-Villareal game tonight to see how strong the germans are.
