It was a shame but it was so very City wasn't it?

Whenever I drive into Manchester now down Princess Parkway I can't look over to the right, too painful. It may be sad to some but it's true all the same.

Every time I make it back to Manchester, regardless of where I'm going (family, city or business) I always travel the same route in and out that way from J19, saying hello and goodbye...

Bit random this but I'm looking to get up for Everton semi from Birmingham. Anyone know anyone who drives up as my car is kaput and last shitty train back is 10.07.
If anyone knows anyone or has any ideas much appreciated.

Hello
I have been lurking here for a while and so here I am. My first game live was at Maine Road v Spurs May 1963, where we won 1-0 and went down...Until recently that was a snapshot of my City life. I went along with my dad every week and sat on the Platt Lane benches as they were then. I remember the front of the Kippax, a row of those old wooden rattles that disappeared decades ago......BTW if anyone can tell me the City team that day v Spurs, I would be eternally grateful, as I am so curious...My fav City player from those very early days was David Wagstaffe.

Moving forward, I loved the 70's and my profile name is tribute to the boy Tueart, who I won 50 quid on his golden goal penalty, in those days a number was printed in the programme where if you got the crrect second, you won 50, a huge amount then!
I am living in New York now, down the Hatter now and then, but always a blue.....CTID

How about a team of:
Trautman ( was he still around then?)
Betts,Leivers,Cheetham,Gray,Gomersall
Barlow,Hannah,Crossan,Wagstaffe
Kevan

I have no idea what the team was of course but have just thrown in a bunch of old names who may or may not have been around at the time.

I had a good look around and it seems there is nothing for the team against spurs on 11 may 1963, the goalscorer was Harley on the 1-0 win, but thats the only fact I can find apart from the 27k attendance.

The link below gives our very small squad of 15 for that season and that included 3 keepers?

Thanks so much for the welcome and thanks for answering that. I always wondered what the team was. Not too many of those would have made an all time list, Alan Oakes maybe the player that came closest. I remember the game well...Thanks again guys
