Did well to take 'em down, did less than fuck all to bring 'em back up. Played for QPR twice and has been half decent.
I'm sure someone can prove it with facts, I can't be arse writing it down.
I'm sure Ted will take the bait though.

He's a fairly decent player..Has he improved as a person on and off the pitch? So far he has but i wouldn't hold my breath. Joey is a wild card and always has been.
He was class for the geordies and so far for QPR...I wish him and Shawny all the best and hope they stay up.

I'm absolutely astonished that you can't be arsed to spell out the word 'or'!
QPR did great business at the arse end of the transfer window. SWP, Barton, Ferdinand and Campbell are excellent signings for a promoted side. With this and the season ticket refund, Tony Fernandes should write a book on how to win friends and influence people.
I bet Hammers fans are devo'd that the porn magnates knocked him back when he tried to buy them out a few months back.

QPR made some dream signings in Barton and SWP, playerwise. However, Barton is, and has always been, a loose cannon. The deal that can make or break their Premier League existance.

Shawzy mate, how can you say he was class at Newcastle, are you just going off last year?

Find it very difficult to disagree with JB on this one.

I really don't understand why people on here consistently label premiership players as "championship quality". He may not be at or level, buy he's played in the premiership most of his career and started at every club he's been at.
What more do you hav to do to be a prem player?

Agree with you here. Apart from the fact that nobody in the thread described him as 'Championship'.

I describe him as Championship quality. The fact that he happens to play in the Prem means nothing to me. I think a good 50% of people playing in the Prem have no right to be there considering in mind the money they get paid. The average standard should be much higher than such basic no mark footballers as Barton.

It's ridiculous to say he's Championship quality. I don't care what anyone says, he was a very good player for us at time, infact he was our only player who could do anything at all going forward with the ball. People are letting his personality taint their opinion of his ability.
He did a good job for Newcastle last season and has settled into QPR fairly well. He's easily a Premier League player and tbh, bar Us, Chelsea, United, Arsenal, Spurs he would have a shot of getting into most teams.

What a non-story!
No quotes or discussion from the FA, just he
could be investigated. No suggestion that the FA will investigate it.
Lazy journolism, as standard. Let's pick a player that his controversial, and build a story around something he's said.
The tweet says he must
feel like an idiot, rather than calling him an idiot directly.
Personally I think this interview says a lot about Barton
http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/ ... -23427703/But when trying to leave his decadent lifestyle, this isn't the best thing to be quoted:
“People are struggling to put food on the table and there I am with flash watches and cars. I told my PA to get rid of them."

Barton has that grit and determination you want in your team, a hard tackler and a fantastic engine but thats it. He has very little quality and the bad thing about all this is the hype of the fuclin media will probably get Capello to put him in the england squad, I sincerely hope not, he is a fuclin clown and shouldnt be anywhere near the England squad IMO.
