I always knew he would come good! lol
Actually he seems a decent bloke from what I can see, so hope it works out for him, and that he may have increased his transfer value!

Promoted Real Betis surged to the top of La Liga after hanging on to beat Real Zaragoza 4-3 despite playing with 10 men for the last 21 minutes of a thrilling La Liga clash at the Estadio Benito Villamarin.

Paraguay striker Roque Santa Cruz scored twice as the hosts raced into a 4-1 lead before a foolish red card for keeper Casto Espinosa sparked a Zaragoza fightback in the second half.

The Seville-based club, who have spent the last two years in the second division, are the only side with a 100 per cent record this season and have a two-point lead over Valencia after four matches.

Malaga are three points off the pace in third spot, one point ahead of champions Barcelona, Sevilla and Levante.

Barca drew 2-2 at Valencia on Wednesday, the same day as seventh-placed Real Madrid were held 0-0 at Racing Santander.

Santa Cruz, on loan from Manchester City, notched his first goal for Betis from close range after seven minutes before Salva Sevilla doubled the lead from the penalty spot.

Zaragoza defender Efrain Juarez pulled one back after Casto made a hash of a cross in the 36th minute.

The game looked to be all but settled after Benat netted a second Betis penalty and Santa Cruz headed their fourth goal on 49 minutes.

Casto's red card then threw Zaragoza a lifeline. The Betis keeper needlessly raced out of his area to bring down Luis Garcia after 69 minutes and Juan Carlos rattled the home side when he volleyed in nine minutes later.

From an identical position Juan Carlos volleyed his second goal, and Zaragoza's third, with 11 minutes to go but the visitors were unable to find the equaliser in a frantic finale.

Good we might actually get a transfer fee for him if he keeps it up.
How long is left on his contract?

No harm having the likes of himself and Adebayor scoring freely this year, they are in the shop window at the moment.

Even a free transfer would be great just to get him off our books.
Pleased to hear he scores, hope he does well

I hope he can stay injury free for as long as possible so another a club is willing to buy him (or even take him for free). It still infuriates me that he ever ended up our player (not his fault I know) so the sooner we can get rid the better.

honestly I am more shocked he finished 90mins than him scoring. Any smuck can find himself infront of goal and nick a couple.

Good on him for getting back into shape and he is a decent striker so no wonder he'll score a few. Hope he can stay fit and give us some money back:-)

Happy ending for all parties would be nice.

Good for him, It was never his fault that we paid a silly price for him.

Never heard him bad mouth once nor ever heard any stories of him causing a fuss about not being in the side.

The slightly slower pace of La Liga may suit him better than the Premiership. He's a better player than Caciedo and he banged quite a few in last year.

Being paid a shit load in the latter stage of your career with no pressure whatsoever and a few years left on your contract...Id also not complain.... a la Bridge.

I agree it was never his fault we paid a silly price for him but don't insult Caicedo and say RSC is better.

RSC has been shit his whole career apart from one season. Unfortunately for us, our former twat of a manager thought it wise to spend £17m on him.

And as, apparently, he 'banged quite a few in last year', can you confirm how many he did 'bang in'?

Sorry, I just don't have any time for RSC. Not entirely his fault, but it really bugs me that we ever bought him.

Nah it's an illusion. Dont you know Barcelona have never lost or drawn a game and will win every game from now to 2030 - the media told me.

As for Rocky:

"Never doubted ye for a minute"
