In the past 2 matches, Gazbaz has covered more ground than any other City player. In the past 2 matches, Clichy has been second in the running.

More importantly than that - this time Barry didn't give the ball away in an advanced position to give the other team a potential goal scoring counter attacking opportunity.

Clichy's pace was evident today when he recovered defensively, excellent.

Gaz Baz is the unsung hero and has been excellent this season

That running stat about Gareth running the most was also the case last season. He may be slow but his stamina is right up there.

Every successful club needs players who are prepared to put in a shift. Neither is the best money can buy, but hard work and selflessness go a long way when competing on four fronts.

I'm not a big Milner fan, but considering how knackered he seems to look most of the time, I'd guess he was one of our hardest workers, too.

Can't remember where I read this but, apparently, it's not the miles you cover, it's the time you spend running at top speed that separates the greats from the goods, something that yaya does very well

Kolarov can certainly hit a free kick though

GazBaz was excellent again. Wonder what his pass stats were? So neat and tidy in there.

One or two on here were giving it the whole "i've studied this player thouroughly" bollox and tried to tell the rest of the class he can't defend.

Which of course is horse shite.

Of course stats can be misleading but, Clichy's suggest that he is much better at defending than he is at attacking, which surprised me. He also compares favourably with most of the top Prem lg fullbacks defensively

Yea, some people on here are watching EVERY football game in every League there is and conduct thorough analysis on players. :)

I always considered him one of the best full backs in the country.

One of the things that I think one or two don't take into account is the fact that certain teams and they way they play as a unit can make certain players look good or bad a certain duties.

I think arsenal and clichy would be one such case.
