You rarely see ccredit given in these situations.

Well done Robbie!
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Antti.....this one is for you

Roberto Mancini = by far and away the best Manchester City manager I have had the pleasure of seeing in my lifetime. I hoped last season that amidst some of his bemusing tactical approaches there was a masterplan (as would befit his clear extreme footballing intelligence as a player). Well, there most certainly was. Yes, we have the ability to buy players but we have a bloody superb manager.

I feel a bit daft for doubting him now but I am very happy he is in charge at Eastlands

Yep fair dues to the boss for the subs.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Bob was at his happiest since joining the club tonight. The team responded well to slacking at Fulham and generally worked at it today. Things went well, the subs changed the game and kept us in it, no injuries and a large oversized thumb up Moyes ugly snout while getting rid of that particular thorn in City's side... Balo gave him a kiss and Milner can finally relax into the job a bit. job well done.

In all seriousness though, calling on Balo ahead of Tevez was a subtle gamble imo, and as it has turned out it will give Mario quite a bit of a boost and for good reason too, at the same time giving Tevez a bit more to think about as he sets about working the summer fat off to get a shout back in the side. If Mancini plays his cards right Tevez will come into top form and champing at the bit just when we need him most. Making him wait it out while he is not 100% is a good tactic.

I'm happy to put the Fulham debacle down to an aberration. This season, Mancini appears to be mixing attacking flair, when appropriate, with a steely resolve. I like it a lot.

Well I didn't bother coming on here after the Fulham farce, instead waiting to see what happened midweek and then today.

Fulham looks to have been a slight blip and nothing more. Bobby's the man and long may it continue!

and Savic proved a great decision i see him in our central defence before the end of the season
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

I agree he's the best we've had a in very long time but he's not in the same league as Joe Mercer - yet.
If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, it's just possible that you haven't really grasped the gravity of the situation.

Tbh, I don't tend to go overboard on praise or criticism re subs unless it's something really ingenious or really stupid but it was a pretty good choice, although Bob mentions the fact that Balotelli can't play on Tues as being an influence on his decision, so luck may have come into it.

I suppose it's quite easy with the squad he's got.

It's been great so far, but we haven't really played anyone capable of putting us under real sustained pressure and i think our defence has been faulty so far, i will be much more nervous when playing the big teams this year than i was last year because they have players that will punish us.

I'm happy with the results so far apart from fulham but i will be happier when de jong comes back.
