December/January fixture moves

Four of our December and January fixtures have been moved for live screening by Sky Television.

The back-to-back blockbusters away to Chelsea and home to Arsenal have both been shifted.

We now travel to Stamford Bridge on Monday, 12 December with an 8pm kick-off and Arsenal arrive at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, 18 December kick-off 4.10pm.

In 2012 we now begin the New Year on 1 January at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland at 3pm and follow that with a home game against Liverpool on Tuesday, 3 January at 8pm

Liverpool have the early kick off match on New years eve at home and we get the "late" kick off on Sunday. and then we meet on Jan 3rd. how unfair is that?

Only one club is allowed an 'advisor' at the pre-season meetings to set the fixtures!! - perhaps they have secured a berth throughout the year and consult with SKY on selection. (I am being a bit deliberately and somewhat jokingly paranoid)

The BBC website currently has their (really testing) games over the congested period as:

Saturday, 17 December 2011

QPR v Man Utd, 15:00

Wednesday, 21 December 2011

Fulham v Man Utd, 20:00

Monday, 26 December 2011

Man Utd v Wigan, 15:00

Saturday, 31 December 2011

Man Utd v Blackburn, 15:00

Monday, 2 January 2012

Newcastle v Man Utd, 15:00

Saturday, 14 January 2012

Man Utd v Bolton, 15:00

Fulham took two points off us & are the reason we are not top of the league.

Not really , Chelsea blew it at OT. even gifting United three goals.

And then there's WBA not getting a point at home, and so on. We'll get there all in good time.

I was planning to go the Liverpool game on the 2nd, but now it's a day later I can't - flying out from Heathrow at 9 the next morning. Have to watch it on tv in London now.

If you think that people gifting Utd victories at OT is going to change, you will be disappointed. Apart from the obvious head to head games, the title will be won & lost at places like Fulham. We got the points back because they drew at Stoke but in order to truly even it out we have to win at Stoke when we play them, as rags will probably get 2 more points at Fulham than we did. I recon we are going to need about 6 more points away from home than the rags if we are to win the league as their home record will be better than ours at the end.

Gifted 3 goals? How were they gifted? They were good goals especially Nani's.
