Playing v England & possibly against jones. Before his injury, this bloke was close to the top of my list of players I'd like to see at City. Don't know if he's been the same since he came back but if he reaches the same standard, he's still only young & could end up on our radar.

Really???
I've only seen him few times in Serie A and only paid attention because commentators were going on about him but he looked to ME like his strengths wouldn't translate too well for English game. I can't claim to have done some indepth scouting on him and could well be wrong but I wasn't that impressed.

Never looked weak to me, no moreso than most flair players anyway but doesn't look as if he's back to the same level yet, judging by last night's performance. There were a few flashes of what he can do but it's not quite all there yet. He still likes a dive though. He was doing that even at youth level & would have to change his ways if he played in the prem but he does also get fouled a lot.

It's worth baring in mind that he's just missed a full year of football and is still only 21, (22 in Nov) so all the stuff he did in Seria A, he was doing at a similar age to Balotelli at Milan, but Jovetic was the star in a lesser team rather than a squad player. He gave Liverpool the runaround in the Champion's Lg when just a kid. His career has barely started yet.

That injury definitely took him back a fair bit but he has so much class and fight in his locker that he'll have no problem getting to that top level barring any further serious injury. But going for him if and when he hits the level i think he might would cost a fortune.

One of the best Serie A strikers for me, I'd love watching him at City in the next season!
