Sportsman's Dinner

I am trying to raise funds for my local junior football team. they hold a sportmans dinner every year to try and raise funds to help pay for the sporting equipment needed to keep the club going. We do this every year and they are always fantastic evenings, therefore if you or anyone you know may be interested, please see the details below and contact me.

Date: Friday, 14th October 2011, 7.15pm till late
Venue: Cresta Court Hotel, Altrincham
Guest Speaker: [b]Paul Walsh [/b one of the best after dinner speakers on the circuit.
Comedian: Mike Farrell
Compere: James H Reeve
Cost: is £30 per ticket
Dress Code: Collar and Tie

There will also be an auction of signed sporting memorabilia

Take up for this was expected to be 250 people but we are struggling to get past 170 people. If you are interested I would need confirmation today for the ticket.

Cheers
Bob

Good luck with the dinner - Walshy is a great speaker.

He will tell a few good City related tales, and in particular some good inside info from the City v Luton game 83 that relegated us, including his on-field battle with a City player, and a scrap in the tunnel between a City player and Luton one, both of whom are quite prominent in our history.

Can't help you mate but good line-up nonetheless. I'd love to ask Walshy a few questions about where he'd rank Summerbee-Rosler-Quinn-Walsh-Beagrie in the list of attacks he's played in. Late '94 - early '95 was probably the one period during the 90s when we were fun to watch.

Top player and seems like a good guy. JHR is a good coup for you too.

Was he playing upfront, running around like a twat with no end product?
