This is why i have a massive dislike for the dippers. I dont think there's any other team in football that's more disillusioned than them. I get this from all the scousers at work every year and it seems the staff, old and new, are no different.

What planet are they on?

"Former manager Roy Evans believes Liverpool are serious contenders to win the Premier League this season.

The Reds have not won a top-flight title for 21 years, with rivals Manchester United lifting the Premier League 12 times during that period.

The two sides meet on Saturday - and Liverpool can close the gap on leaders United to three points with a win.

Evans, Anfield boss between 1994 and 1998, insisted: "We could do it this year, never write Liverpool off."

Agreed. Every year they say the same thing after bringing a handful of half-decent players through and believing their own hype about them.

Suarez is better than Aguero.

Suarez is the only really decent signing they've made. Carroll, Downing and Henderson were all bought at ridiculous (and unnecessary) prices.

Anyway, for me, any club where Dirk Kuyt regularly gets a game must have some kind of problem.

You have to laugh about this 'SKY' Liverpool-United thing as well. Of course it's the Dippers 'Big Match'. But Scum's is their closest rivals plus the derby game. At the moment both of them are US.

Firstly, best of luck to them on the weekend.Hope they rise to the occasion.

They have really spent poorly since John Henry started ploughing in the money.I do however think Daglish has reknewed the sense of pride in the club and the run they went on in the latter stages of last season has the fans right behind the team again.
That said some of his signings have been alarming to say the least Downing 20 million, Carrol 35 million and Henderson 16 million.None of them are top 4 quality players.

Enrique, Coates and Adam are more reasonably priced purchases but again are they good enough???

Suarez is really the only player Daglish has signed that is able to perform at the level they want to be at.

A lot depends on Daglish and whether or not he can get the best out of his players.Realistically they should not be challenging for top 4 but with the current state of affairs at the emirates and the unredictability of Spurs they may actually be handed a chance.

Ahhh the deluded mickeys strike again eh. They've the basis of a decent squad there but fall well short of us the rags and Chelsea imo. Top four is a very strong possibility tho'.

Highly underrated player and I seriously do not understand the stick he gets. The amount of effort he puts in every game is second to none. Heck, against Brazil he held a certain Maicon at bay. A quote from wikipedia: Kuyt missed only five games over seven seasons from 1999 until 2006 and appeared in 179 consecutive matches between 2001–06. That's fucking awesome.

I think they could finish 4th, but equally, a few results the wrong way and they could end up 7th or 8th.

Gerrard isnt the player he was and they've relied heavily on him to drag them out of the shit for several years. The new lads just wont give them what he used to.

The arrival of 'King Kenny' has obviously given them a boost but as per usual, they'll be blinded by their history and will blame any dip in form on anything BUT the gaffa or his decisions including his players. I admire their optimism, but despise their confidence.

Liverpool CAN finish 4th, but it's 4th at a distance from the leaders. They faced Arsenal and got a win, but Arsenal have been very poor. They went to the Britannia and WHL and came away with nothing. Anyone decent will put them to the sword.

Sooner or later some smart-arsed cunt's going to pipe up to point out that by 'disillusioned' you probably meant 'deluded'.

I can't stand people like that.

Those of us who are old enough, will remember that, in the days when Liverpool used to win the league every year, the rags used to be ABOUT TO win it every year. Now the tables are turned.

As I've said many times; these people are a mirror image of the rags. The bullshit, the bent refs, the nasty, violent, cowardly supporters, the bitterness, the up their own arseness, the 'holier than thou' attitude; they are the same club.

I agree, Liverpool are scouse rags, always thought so. And that's why I always had a little bit of a soft spot for Everton.

Then Moyes came along .................

I don't mind Liverpool to be honest, they were the side that stopped the rags every season in my youth.

This makes it sound like liverpool are second They will still be 6 points behind the leaders, just a different leader.

But anyway i hope they can pull something out the bag. A little gap between us and the scum will ease my derby week tensions knowing the worst that can happen is they draw level if we lose.
