Wythenshawe to be precise!

I'm surprised he was allowed to take charge of our game!

It shouldn't matter where they are from because they should all be totally impartial, honest and competent.

That said, I wouldn't have wanted a ref from Birmingham.

I didn't think he gave us a bean today. Nice to be impartial and all that but I thought he was working for Taggart.

i seem to remember that when i was a ref i had to declare any allegiances/associations and would subsequently be debarred from officiating at any games involving that/those teams? i think it's the same at the top level?

Couldn't agree more, chief.

I'm racking my brains, but I heard a tale about a ref, many many years ago whose registered address was his mother's in Wales so he could ref Liverpool matches - rumours were that he supported them

On the contrary I thought he was totally biased, not consistent. The 'penalty' when Mario was knocked down by a train, and constant petty free kicks against us.

Consistently one-way I suppose!
