Did anybody listen to radio 5 tonight.Allan Green seemed to be one of many pundits who hate us.He was even moaning about our fans throwing paper onto the pitch.Has anybody else noticed this about green.He seemed to despise everything about us.

to be fair - i don't think alan green likes anything.

Just don't listen to him as he is a pain but thatthrowing paper stuff wsas out of order especially as I believe the fans had been warned about it. I know it's only paper but it's just a shame the morons just carried on chucking it.

Agreed. Especially as they were throwing it whilst that slaphead was taking a corner, and we were live on TV around the world. So pointless.

its was very stupid, but it was only paper. Theres a lot worse things to throw besides paper

It makes us look like a bunch of cunts

I didnt hear Green because I was at the game but I detest Green and he seems to hate our club. However the paper missile thing was a disgrace. Official warnings from the ref were ignored and that sort of behaviour could see the club lose points in the CL and fail to qualify. IMO mindless idiots trying to create a confrontation with the security staff but risking our future in Europe.

I mentioned it on the match thread, he moaned about everything - the performance, the lack of atmosphere from the fans, the paper on the pitch and when we equalised he moaned about the Poznan

Full time 2:1 it was as if none of it had happened, typical rag, not happy unless it's a win.

As for not listening to Alan Green - what choice do I have? No sky sports, Talkshite had the rags on...

I was also in the south stand but had the radio plugged in occaisionally as I had plaugged it in earlier listening to 5live as they were commenting on us live

I had to turn off at about 24 mins - Green came on to cover the 2nd half of the 1st half (if that makes sense) and he was fucking oozing contempt about any and everything to do with CITY - absolutely hates us - the twat

and yes the fucking idiots that kept throwing stuff after two tannoy announcements - fucking morons

I stopped listening to Greens commentaries years ago.
Remember a game at Maine Rd against Arsenal when I listened last. If the commentary was owt to go by, we had zero possession.
When Arsenal attacked he described every detail, when we had the ball he talked shite with his co-commentator until Arsenal had the ball again!
Not listened since, and we're talking Tony Adams' days!!

One of Greens standard lines is 'I just cant understand it' when a manager makes a tactical change. This invariably is a reflection on his understanding of the game rather than the managers. He is utterly clueless when it domes to developing a reasoned opinion about anything to do with football as oposed to opening his mouth and saying the first thing that comes into his head. He is best ignored, even if he gets the odd thing right like slagging off the paper throwers.

Green's one of these people who can't get his head around his job role. He's there to tell us what's happening in the match, not what he thinks about it.

If he remembered that he'd be a great commentator. He doesn't, so he's a blustering, self-righteous twat.

I used to like him when he first appeared.
But what an irritating twat he has become.
He doesn't try and hide his dislike of us in the slightest.
Some of his "doing things properly" comments are incredible.
