6.1 is a massive statement and even if the score is a bit wild it reflects the fact that we are the better team NOW.

The 5.1 was massive but it could be argued it was just one of those games.

We have now gone 5.1 at Spurs,4 nil v BBurn in away games already this year so I don't think wins/scores like this have to be one offs.

My point Doug, the 5-1 was a one off and meant so much because it was SO out of the ordinary. I believe that with the team we have now these scores will become the norm ( may be not beating the filth 6-1). I will never forget that day in Sept 89 and nor will I forget today but I think think '89 might linger longer!

Before the 5-1 we were shite, they were good, nobody gave us a hope in hell. It was more of a shock and surprise than today and therefore meant more to the fans at the time.

Today was pretty good though.

After the first 20 minutes i knew we was going to fuck them over,why?

We are pure quality.

Funniley enough i said today that the 89 result was better merely because of how we were in the league at the time.

On a side note it should have been 8.

The fact that we did this away from home makes it better than the 5-1 at Maine Road in my opinion. Not to mention all the records that we obliterated with this result

Today wasn't necessarily a one-off, in some ways that makes it more special. This changes things because it's not a freak result, it's just a good one.

It may meld into one of many good days, but it's still symbolic. The 5-1 stands out as a lesser peak in a barren and featureless landscape.

I think I saw a guy leave after 89 minutes so the victory was soured for me.
