I don't think he knew mate as he switched with Lescott a few times...we were completely BARE on that right hand side today.

What position does he ever play, I could have sworn he is a right winger, he has been lightyears better than Johnson in that position so far this season. Despite the fact that I love his fantastic surging forward runs he is caught out of position far too often, he proves his pace sprinting forward yet his retreating is not good enough, I cant work out whether he is hanging around on a glory hunt or if he is just a bit of a dope?

I was trying to peek around the corner of my tv set during that first 15 minutes when Milner and Ya Ya seemed to be taking turns in the right back position.
Most bizarre!!!!!!

Proves how much we missed VK never ever seen Richards swapping places - glad he was only out for one match - equally don't know how much being captain threw him

Well he didn't forward much today as he we know he likes to do but still played very badly in defence. Milner was supposed to be covering the right side but he too was off the pace today. It was amazing how many times Traore got behind them but thankfully his crosses were bad and could be intercepted.
Was Capello in the crowd today / Was Micah trying too hard to prove to him he is the best English RB. Well he didn't advance his case today unfortunately !

I totally agree (although my right winger comment was meant over the season). I know a lot do not rate him but I feel there is a lot to be said for Zabaleta, he is solid, intelligent and can read the game well. When he does run forward he has his head up by the halfway line looking for a sensible opportunity to distribute. He doesnt set the world on fire he just does his job reliably well.

benefit of hindsight, we know Micah aint the brightest, but I think the captaincy may have put him off his game. He deserves the credit but isnt captain material. Let him go on to be a legend at RB or CB but forget the captaincy for a few years

I blame Capello. I wish he'd just fuck off.

It was all a cunning plan to keep him out of the evil influences of that muppet in charge of england. probs worked too!
seriously though it looked a bit to me that he was both missing Komps cover and worse having to look after Savic. Clipped his wings down to the quill and left him a bit lost imo. That's how it looked to me anyway.

His "position" was surely meant to be captain. He's a fine player, he has a great attitude - unfortunately, he can't yet combine attitude and ability with being a captain.
One day he will be a great City captain, I'm sure, but he will have to learn from today.

thought the reason he was out of position was due to swp, who kept coming inside letting traore down the wing

do you think we rotate players just for laugh? or could it be that it might have contributed to our phenomenal record setting form?
I know lot of people will disagree with me and I fully recognize Micah's brilliant form but in many ways I rate Pablo higher as fullback. personal opinions, mind.

I think next game he will be in the position "Left Right Out".

Agreed, I am not fooled by just flair and pace, the fact is when he bursts forward he leaves his own position completely vacant, we are left with three at the back far too often.
