Thought Joleon was quality
Milner worked hard with no support
Barry came on and gave them some shape
Joe made a great deflected save from Fabregas that only keepers will really appreciate
Dave was quiet but unlucky to be subbed at half time
Micah must be turning in his grave if he can't get in this England side, Glen Johnson was fucking dire! They'll be blowing Welbeck's performance tomorrow but he looked like a loset little boy!

Very few mistakes from Lescott this evening, infact I can only think of a poor choice of pass which put us under pressure in the second half, and a moment when the whole left side of defence switched off and failed to track Mata. If his team mates come to terms with the fact that Lescott isn't a John Terry who can play the ball out of defence then they can stop putting him in those situations. All in all he should have had the man of the match award.

Capello must go. The team lack ideas or shape. They played like Yeovil today. I dont think they ever put 4 passes together. So many serial failures on the pitch its unreal. Someone who can motivate and put a simple plan into practice is necessary. Alright, we did ok defending a goal, but will we ever score one from open play?Parker ,Jag and Les the pick which says it all. How many times does the manager have to see Walcott, Bent, Glen johnson and Downing to know they will never cut it. When will we say thanks to aging carthorses like Terry and Rio.When will someone put a rocket up Ashley Cole's arse and get Lampard to stop fucking hiding. Thank God we watch a proper fecking team cos England are about at Villa's level.

Great defensively but still a little bit hot potato-ish with the ball at his feet. Luckily Johnson (G) and Downing were present to take all the attention in poor distribution.

Just to echo everyone's views, thought he had a MotM performance and for me, should be starting ahead of Terry. Funny isn't it, Capello seemed to be sending a team out that he thought would get slaughtered, leaving many of his bigger players to get an easier game against Sweden, yet they come out and chase every ball and walk away with a deserved win. The City boys had a big part to play in that and the confidence they will get from keeping a clean sheet against [strike]Barca[/strike] Spain will be good for us as a club.
Well done to all those involved.
PS. But obviously not as good as the best player that has ever lived, Scotty 'The Bestest of Best' Parker. Take a bow son.

Lescott has been City's best defender all season & if Vinny is rated as one of the best in the league then so should Lescott be. I don't think he's an ideal England CB but neither are any of the other contenders. He did well v Spain but the fact he was playing behind a back 11 should not be discarded. The test would have come if Spain had scored first.
I'm more interested in what he does for City & I think he's been quality. He's not a great footballer but unlike players such as Richard Dunne, he is intelligent enough & has the balls to play it simple & keep possession rather than lump it down the pitch or shit himself & fall over his own feet when asked to.

Been great this season but needs to stop going on these marauding forward runs. Tried a couple last night and got caught out both times. When Spain have the ball you don't want your centre half by the half way line.

To be fair he got caught out because Scott the greatest player in the prem Parker didn't return a simple pass, instead he chose to do his turn inside with the outside of his foot move and lost possession.

Joleon also for me the best of England! I never forget how we lose badly without him at Allianz Arena!

It's always silly for a centre back to do so, especially when you're protecting a 1-0 lead.

Tell Franz Beckenbauer that.
