In recent seasons city have sold a player to a club but he only made 49 appearances for that club as they would of had to pay city a substantial amount more money if he made his 50th appearance for them can any of you remember who the club and player was

I'm not saying this is wrong but according to wikipedia he only played 43 games for reading then went on loan for 6 games so wasn't sure if the loan games counted

49 appearances in total matey just for Reading.
