How Good is van Persie?

Postby Beefymcfc » Sun Nov 20, 2011 12:43 am

As it says, this bloke can do no wrong at the moment and has saved Wenger single handedly. Why now, and why won't he sign a contract?

31 goals from 29 league games according to the Sky commentator - as for his contract I suspect he is waiting to see if they are in the Chump's league next season. We could very easily end up with him in Manchester IF they drop out of Europe.

He's doing the business because he is injury free. He'll be crocked again soon, don't worry.

Unless Wenger promises him some top class players, you could be right. Madrid is the best bet.

City will not sign Van Persie unless it's a direct swap for Quasimodo. VP is too old & expensive & injury prone. Surely by now everyone can see the kind of players that fit our profile ?

He is also a wankstain who would sour the whole experience for me.

He is the most lethal striker in the league, has been for a while. Only thing stopping him has been his injuries and if that could be managed properly I think as a replacement for Polly we could do a hell of a lot worse.

There's something quite fitting about a glass cannon playing for the Gunners.

It was fortunate for Arsenal that Norwich's bad marking and the absolutely idiotic and arrogant attempt to score with a back heel flick by Gervinho, allowed to the ball to come through to van Perse.

likewise his second goal, i felt the goalie could have done a bit better job. However, that said vp is playing really well this season.
