guidetti...

Postby Nigels Tackle » Sun Nov 20, 2011 7:48 pm

just been looking at this weekend's european results and noticed that young mr guidetti bagged another 2 goals for feyenoord today -neither of them pens....

mr_nool - have you seen the goals? if yes, were they any good? pleased to see him doing well...

on the subject of dutch football, i noticed that ajax lost 6-4 to fc utrecht a couple of weeks ago.... good to see so many teams in contention over in holland. makes a big difference from when i was growing up there in the 80s and everything was dominated by ajax, psv & feyenoord....

Was actually just about to post this.
I didn't watch the game, but have seen the goals on the Dutch equivalent to MotD. Both goals were well taken. He also had a great assist, and seemed to put in a very good over all performance. It has to be said that the defences in the Dutch league are way below par. Results like the 6-4 in the Utrecht-Ajax game are not uncommon.

The last few years have seen other clubs than PSV, Feyenoord and Ajax challenge for the title, which is great for the competition. Twente have been up there for two-three years now, and this year AZ are back in great form after a couple of lesser years. Unfortunately FC Utrecht remain a mid-table team, but over all there's quite a buzz around the Dutch league, just because it's so open and unpredictable.

He's doing allright at Feyenoord. Seen most of his games including this one. Decent goals, but not spectacular. He still has a lot to learn. Main thing about him is his convidence. But that will not be good enough for now. Besides he's a bit too sure of himself. I'm sceptical. But don't write him of just yet.

I hope we keep hold of him, he has the raw talent and the required amount of attitude to succeed. He seems to have the mentality for it too.

Can't work out if the club rate him or not - hence the bizarre end of contract business

I hope he's getting better, because he was absolute dogshite in the summer friendlies.

Scored a good goal today. Nice low shot curling into the corner from edge of the box. He's really into boosting team moral too. But still far far away from city level.

You may or may not be interested to know, Doug, that two Dale season ticket-holding friends of mine rate Harry Bunn's performances so far as 'amazing'.

I am delighted as well as I am when any City players does well on loan. Perhaps more with Harry though as he real talent and will make it in a pro career.Just not sure at what level.
