Purely Man City blog relaunched

Just wanted to let everyone know that I restarted my Purely Man City blog today.

The first story takes a detailed look at Mario Balotelli's press coverage, and explores how stories are created. I've included some of my own experiences working on a tabloid (with names removed for legal reasons) and plan to write a lot more on the subject in the coming weeks.

Thanks for the kind words.

I'm probably going to write a media-related story every few weeks. I've already written one about how the infamous "Achtung! Surrender" front page came about in the 90s. There's no real City connection there but I think it's a tale worth telling.

Used to like that site, glad it's back.

If I'm not mistaken I think I found that site before I found this one, back in the days when I used to just read things & not swear at anybody except in person.

Brilliant news!

If nothing else the Purely Man City blog brought together Look Mum and mancityfans.net. A momentous occasion.

Great news. the old Purely Man City was one of my favourite City sites. I've also really enjoyed your City history project.

Currently working on cover designs and other fiddly bits. It should be available on Amazon before Christmas.
