So Scouse 1 this weekend: Teams please

Putting this weeks CL firmly to the back of my mind, I can only pray Robbi Manc see's the PL as our Holy Grail this year.
So praying that he wanted to rest the cream of our suad as much as possible, one would assume/hope our strongest line up is in place with giant rockets up their backsided to beat Scouse 1;
So my team selection:
Joe Hart
Micah Vinne JL Gael C.
James M. Yaya Gazbaz
Kun Silva Nasri
Reason for this team selection: Pace and quickfeet up front

Think we need either Balo or Dzeko because that's a very small attack!

I agree with the Man down under, this is I think our best team on current form.

It is back to business this weekend..
i have got a sense that City fans are going to be more nervous than the team - basing something on the loss to Napoli.
One thing for sure is we will get an insight into if or not Mancini had priorities for the Prem, with the team selection.
I get the feeling that Mancini takes to heart the defeats that we suffer and responds by putting extra effort in to put them to bed. Everton being a prime example. So with the loss last season I rekon it will be what he considers his best side at present. I also think he will be ramping them up so it is no chances taken and no prisoners.
Looks like Dalgliesh is getting his excuses in early too.. or is that just bollox.

think this is the right team as well.
I also think balo and aguero rae our best partnership upfront, dzeko oscillates between being too static in the middle and wandering out wide. Everytime I see him receive a ball near the flank I want to kill him. Balo's positional sense is excellent, both attacking and supporting, and having him with aguero takes the best advantage of this. Balo will also drift, but does it intelligently to find space for himself and others, it's a natural thing for him.
I think milner deserves to be in the team on recent format, nasri seems short on confidence, or just in a rut, and needs to be brought back slowly against some lower teams. I think there is a possibility that de jong will make an appearance, for the purpose of tracking henderson/adams, but we'll see.

I fucking hope not. After Napoli, De Jong is dead to me.

Absolutley our strongest team and the one that should have played against Napoli.
If we get beat then hats off to the better team.
If the selection is different then Bob has got it wrong twice in a week.

When we were solid last season, the holding 2 were always Gazzer & Nige. We are leaking stupid goals and need to be more solid in front of the back 4. For me JM has to make way for NDJ, giving us JH, MR, VK, JL, GC, NDJ, GB, YT, DS, MB & SA. Benched would be Pants, PZ, AK, JM, AJ, SR & ED

Spuds got at them early, played at a high tempo and passed and ran them out of the game. The dippers got frustrated, kicked out were completely demoralised.

Agree with that, which is why De Jong to be dropped for Barry for me. Yeah I know Barry isn't quick but he can pass the ball forwards and keep play ticking over.
I'd also play Dzeko or Balo with Aguero. Probably the same team as the demolition derby if I had to pick, as said earlier in the thread.
