Great Point that

got undone by a very lucky goal, and scored a very lucky goal. a point away at anfield is not too bad for a premier league winning team. fully expected us to lose.

Agree. Good result, especially considering the so-called refereeing today.

Terrible 2nd half though.

What was lucky about our goal? Kompany jumped for the ball and steered it in with his head come shoulder.

Nothing very lucky about it at all.

If nothing else, the players thoroughly deserve a point for not sticking one on that fuckin ref.

Great in the circumstances.

But still proof of our improvement over last season.

Never expected us to lose, but a very good point. Liverpool played a great game and we're still 5 pts clear at the top. Both teams had a few chances to win but it wasn't to be. Hart kept our unbeaten run alive and Silva had the chance to win it. Maybe if he pictures passing the ball into the upper 90 he'll score

Good result. I'd have taken that beforehand, considering how they raise their game at times, that we'd had a tough game and trip in the week and since the rags couldn't capitalise. Taking into account the refereeing I'm very happy

spot on mate - liverpool gave their all, a few players had an off day, one sent off and the homerist of refs.

good point, and we're still unbeaten.

Brillaint result but I just can't quite believe how Silva missed that chance near the end. It was simple.

worst performance I've seen this season from a ref. What happened to FIFA trying to stamp out diving?

Clearly it depends who is doing the diving.

We've now been to Anfield, the swamp and WHL and taken 7 points, scored 12 goals and conceded 3. Huge improvement on previous years.

All in all a good result for the following reasons:

1. Liverpool are a bunch of whining, cheating, diving cunts
2. The ref and linesmen were on the scousers' side
3. We were shit and tired towards the end of the game
4. The rags only managed a draw as well yesterday (to a team that we beat in the corresponding fixture) so our 5 point lead is maintained.

Really good point, on yesterdays' evidence it's just a shame that Mario didn't have Rooney written on the back of his shirt, no chance of a booking then let alone a red.

I agree.
At the end of the season it's results not performances that matter. Great point under the circumstances.

This is the key point. Of course there is a chance a random team like Everton or Newcastle will mug us, but at the start of the season, you look at the nailed on big problem away games & those 3 are in there along with Chelsea & Arsenal. We are five ponts clear & have been to 3 of those grounds! That is fantastic. No way will the rags & Co get through all their away games v the top 6 without dropping points, so to have a five point gap is bloody brilliant.

Souness & Ratface have both been saying just now how that performance proves we are the real deal. Ratface made the point that if we get 7 points clear, we don't look like the kind of side who will give it up & that rags & Co need to reel us in pretty quick.

Agree with Carl that there was nothing lucky about Komp's goal. It was a great jump and steered well away from Reina (shoulder or no shoulder).
I also agree that it was a great point which in the last 20 minutes I thought would be beyond us if it wasn't for the heroics of Joe.

Was if you had a right foot. Got to give Reina credit for standing up so long that their entire defence was on the line waiting for the shot

Unfortunately we were so deep that no one else could get up to support. Yaya was about 5 yds short of a blast into the net.
