It's just not happening for him atm. I'm not getting on his back and there is a world class player in there somewhere but he just doesn't seem to playing as well as he can for us, bar a couple of games.

He's had this coming for a while, but couldn't you have given the thread a snappier title? Something like "Nasri isn't any kind of footballer" or "What does Nasri actually do?

This often happens in a player's first season. More often than not in fact. He works pretty hard though & taking him off for a striker today was a terrible move which almost cost us the game.

Imo he's never been a real world superstar & some of the wanking over him on here when he played for Arsenal was ridiculous but he's a quality player who can fit in well with our squad. He will get better in the future but thee are better players around too.

I really hope this isn't seen as getting on his back because we all know just what a good player he can be. But he hasn't played anywhere near as well as he did for the Gunners yet.

For the last two years, especially with Fabregas injured half of the time, Arsenal tended to play through Nasri. At City, he's having to get used to us giving the ball to Silva first and Yaya second, and having to adjust to not being in the game/on the ball as much. He'll come. He's class.

He might as well not be on the pitch at the moment

Thought he had a good game today. What did he do wrong, to deserve a negative thread ? Could pick out Silva too today, he was not on form.

He disappeared after the first 15-20 minutes, and only occasionally re-surfaced, but I'll cut him some slack.
He hasn't yet nailed down a starting position due to Milner's re-emergence, so wouldn't have really gotten up to speed, and also it was mighty crowded in Liverpool's defensive third of the field, for the most part.
Hopefully he'll start against Whinger's Lot, where he'll get some space to impress

Where our all those snappy passes and assists gone from the deep left position? I like Nasri but he's been truly ominous for awhile now..I dont notice him on the pitch anymore.

He puts the work in, just needs to find his feet in the team. You can never tell with these things, might take all season. Every chance i get i say that mainly because of Nasri and Aguero coming in this team wont be at their best till later on in the season, maybe not till the end of the season. We just have to accept it and look forward to it rather than moan. Aguero is also struggling to find his place consistently.

If he had been ominous I don't think we'd have a negative thread about him!

I don't think he was any worse than Aguero today, but he could have done more.

It's not just this game.

Said it before but he looks such a typical Arsenal player. Looks great when the sun's shining but goes AWOL when things are tough.

Been very unimpressed so far, but will give him time. Milner didn't set the world on fire in his first months either.

Imho, this is the best that we will see from him this season. He will play ok, not impressive because he didn't had the summer training with us, he didn't got used of the schredule that Bob had and so on. Beside that, he didn't had a summer preparation, well a regular one, even at Arse, where he was always with one leg on the field, the other on a plane.
Next season imho he will be as good as Dave.

(Milner is another example).

He will be a massive hit for us and just needs games to sort himself out.

It took Milner pretty much a season & some talk he was off before we got the performances from him - Nasri showed in the early part of the season what he could do & hasn't lost it

Thing is when nasri goes missing I feel like we are playing with Ten men. At least with aguero you feel like there may be a moment of brilliance. When nasri goes missing he might as well not be on the pitch. Before anyone jumps on my back I acknowledge his position in the assists charts, but lacking real consistancy. Yes he can be world class at times but he went missing at arsenal too. I thought he was a decent signing but not sure if we will see the return In the money we paid for him. I know a few guys here really Rate him and I hope he can live up to their expectations but improvement required for me
