Top class today, calm and rutined, faster and more comfortable on the ball than who we normaly use.
Should be starting every week alongside VK.

I thought he had a good game too, he looked tired near the end probably short in fitness. Given the chance I think he can take Lescott's position.

He didn't have to deal with too many balls in the air though which is his biggest weakness and he looks poor in games where the opposition provide more of an aerial threat

Very assured; hardly put a foot wrong, without needing to trot, never mind run.
Savic may have looked more noticeable, but thats only because he had to put in the effort.

Great to see he's prepared to fight to get his place back, despite all the tabloid trash-talk

not bad as backup but Mr Les Cott is far superior in my eyes. Just a shit last couple of games.

Lescott any day of the week over Kolo for me if it came down to choice but Kolo did well tonight against Arsenals reserves.

Good game no doubt but no way should take the place of our best center back this season so far.

So we should drop our best performing centre back (Lescott, in case you weren't sure) to play Kolo with Vinnie (who is yet to reach the standards he set last season)?

Yes Kolo had a good game time which is great to see but thank fuck you're not the manager.

I do, by a distance so far too imo.

Really impressed with Kolo today. The amount of times he seemed to get involved in defending stuff it was like there were two of him. It's put my mind at rest a little as I don't think Savic is a CB at all, really promising footballer but not a CB, but Kolo was really getting on the end of almost everything. I still wouldn't want to see him v the best teams but at least he looks like he's ready to play a part.

What position would you play Savic then? He looks very comfortable on the ball. Every time I see him play he seems hes benefiting. I think the game at El Madrigal was a bonus for him. He's getting there I think, he still has a lot to learn, but given time and cosidering his age he could be a rock at the back for years to come. Interesting call, I actually think Kompany is the one that puts the defense together, without him our defense will look horrible.

I thought he looked superb on the ball tonight & imo he looked as if he may be a better passer in that department than Nige. I'd like to see him tried there if we're up 3 or 4 in a game. I'd like to see him tried at fullback too. He looked ok there for Montenegro wheras he was terrifying at CB. Tonight, he made one or two decent headers from the six yard box but on the whole he's just not involved in the real nitty gritty defending & when he has to be, he often gets there too late or not at all. His composure on the ball & eye for a nice forward pass were excellent tonight though I thought, really classy.

When you look at Luiz & Alex struggling like fuck even with a half arsed lacking in confidence Andy Carrol though, I just can't see Savic in that job against big units like that. Maybe when he's older.

I don't know, but he reminds me of a young verison of Gerard Piqué.

It's a bit obvious to say because of the hair but he reminds me more of Puyol. He's not as active though. I don't actually like Pique. Not as a Premier League defender that is. Fine for the way Barca play as teams don't get at them much but I wouldn't fancy him playing for Spurs or Villa etc at Stoke.
